As it is with any AR platform component internal firing mechanisms do wear, especially if you’re an avid shooter or operator.  You know the drill.  You fire a lot clean even more and fire some more.  Eventually, but not always, you’ll come across a situation where a spent cartridge remains in the chamber.  Yes, it can happen, and maybe it’s even happened to you.  So you free the cartridge, ensure the chamber is clean and pop off another ten rounds only to discover you’ve got another fired case stuck in the chamber.

It’s time to change out your AR-15’s extractor.  Whether it’s replacement of a worn part, you’re building an AR-15 from the ground up or, based on your recent experience you’d like to keep a few spares on hand, the Lantac extractor kit is definitely something you want to have on hand.
