Great sights at a super price!
by Mark -
I already have 4 sets of Leapers/UTG backup sights. I like them better than any of the other backup sights I've seen that are 2 or 3 times as expensive. The sights I just received look to be even better than the previous models. Thank you, UTG, I have yet to come across any of your items that has disappointed!
Great irons great price!!

I have the set of these and what a great set of buis, I pick these over my magpul pro set also! They were on the money out of the box too so if your looking at these buy them now! The fit and finish is great on them!!
Best folding rear sight for the money
by mlk18 -
These are not the best folding sights made for the AR-15, but they are the best folding sights made for the AR-15 in the $25-45 price point. In fact these are a step above the Magpul MBUS. They have a very small footprint, are made of metal, are surprisingly rugged, and do exactly what they are supposed to do. They tend be a bit stiff at first, but otherwise I have no complaints. I will also point out that these are the same sights that Springfield un-brands and puts on the Saint line.
Very happy with this sight

I had high hopes for the prior version (-955 part number) but ended up returning it. The price was right but it just didn't feel robust enough. I also tried the older style magpul mbus rear sight, and while it was adequate, I wasn't sold on it either. Thankfully leapers seems to have made some improvements on this one; fit and finish are very good, and it aligns well with the fixed A2 front post/gas block on my M4 style AR-15. Only time will tell how durable it is, but the spring locks it in with not problems and it feels durable enough for regular use. As some have noted, the push button requires a heavy push, but that's not a bad thing. If you're on the fence, I'd recommend giving it a shot. If you're heading into combat tomorrow maybe spend the $100+ bucks on a bulletproof sight. Otherwise, I'd guess about 80-90% of users will be pleased with this one.
Great solid Sight, quick tip for Customers!
by Peter
The sight is great, it arrived slightly flimsy out of the box. The sight would flip out after closing the bolt a couple of times. To fix it I loosened the button, then added some Owl Sht grease to the inner components because I plan on making the button real stiff through re-tightening it.
<br>The stiffness fixed it! The sight no longer flips out and feels sturdy, plus if you use slip joint pliers you will mar up the edges of the button which gives it a battle worn quality +1, I lastly gave it a quick sand with some fine grit paper just to smooth out the marring.
Lateral movement causes POI shift
by Daniel
Although it locks up well enough, when locked up, applying pressure to either side of the sight causes noticeable movement, which results in a persistent POI shift. This was observed using a co-witnessed PA red dot sight, whose 2 MOA dot was zeroed to the center of the front sight post. Applying pressure to the side of this sight caused the red dot to shift to the far right side of the front sight post. Testing showed the result was repeatable. If it weren't for this design weakness, it would be a fantastic sight.
