The Leupold Standard 2-Piece line of bases is designed to accommodate most rifles and are the most versatile of any mounting system Leupold offers. Made for a low profile, easy mount that lasts, this is the first available mount that accepts both 8-40 screws and modified 6-48 screws. Consistent recoil and scope weight can lead to failures due to stress of use, and 8-40 screws increase mount strength by over 40%. Both styles of screws are included in the package. Because of the sturdy steel design, there is significantly less risk of damage as there are no additional pieces or hinges that add liability to some scope mounts. The universal cross-slot design accommodates both picatinny and weaver/style rings. The Mark 4 2-piece is suitable for both left and right hand actions and are manufactured to withstand heavy use and adjustment, giving the user additional options in both scoping and positioning. The Leupold Mark 4 for rifles is secured with Nylok locking screws, which won’t back out under intense recoil or high vibration, furthering the flexibility of this model.
