The Compact/Type Restricted Stock is a drop-in replacement buttstock for AR-15/M16 carbines using MIL-SPEC receiver extensions. Designed for light, fast action the streamlined A-frame profile avoids snagging and shields the release latch to prevent accidental activation.
The CTR features a friction lock system that minimizes excessive stock movement for enhanced weapon stability and an ambidextrous QD sling mount that will accept any push-button sling swivel. Includes a standard 0.30" thick rubber butt-pad which provides positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage even with body armor or modular gear.
NOTE: Friction lock performance may vary depending on the host receiver extension dimensional tolerances.

Excelent stock! No wobble with the locking seystem. No facial hair yanks either! Great for those having to blend in to cultures where facial hair is a must! The Customer service from Primary arms has been wonderfull!

Found this stock on one of primary's holiday sales. The magpul ctr stock in great and fits well. Perfect if your not wanting all the shiny bells and whistles. The ctr vs. the regular one is deffinately worth the extra money. The regular one works but it does have some play in it. I didnt give it five stars just on the sole fact of how much shipping is. Might have been able to find a better deal on ebay, shipping wise, but i bought it with something else only primary was offering.

I like the friction lock that keeps it tight.I like the release being out of the way so it doesn't get bumped.These accept 1/4, 1/2 & 3/4" combs so you can custom fit for proper cheek weld.

I'll admit I waited for a good price before I finally jumped on buying this. I have all the magpul ODG furnature on it now and I just love the way it looks and feels now. The adjustability is great and it feels solid.
