Magpul Zhukov Handguard - AK-47/74 - Black

Awesome, awesome unit that dropped in tight and the M-lock system is excellent. Gives much greater grip and hand positioning options when mounting the gun and unquestionably better made than the original poly unit.

I am 6'3" and like grabbing my guns close to the front so I can drive it better. This was not happening with Ak till now.At first when I received Zhukov handguard I noticed how heavy it felt but once I installed it life can't get any better than this.

Just received this handguard this morning and it is absolutely worth the wait. Feels very much like Magpul's AR handguards. Not bulgy or too small. The heat shield underneath also serves as the mounting system. the entire handguard is mounted to this aluminum. No part of the lower handguard squeezes between the trunnion and receiver. so dont worry about have to modify anything. Tolerances are loose enough that you can shift it half an inch forward or back to find the perfect spot for yourself before tightning it down Fits perfectly with my Ultimak. Hats off to Primary Arms! I had email notifications set up for this with every major online retailer and not only did you guys have it first but I still havent heard from any other retailer. Bravo!

This was a blessing. I was one of the many that had jumped on the TWS handguard. The tws handguard didn't fill my requirements, not to mention it gets hot and I mean really hot during sustained firing. Magpul answered all my requirements and then some with the Zhukov handguard, and it's damn sexy too.

Ordered my Zhukov handgaurd at 22:00 and it was shipped out early the next day. Will definitely be buying from Primary Arms agian.

could be better. The zhukov handguard is good. There is no denying it but it could be better it is heavier than it needs to be the metal heat shield could be skeleton iced to a point although it would cut down in its ability to absorb heat it would be lighter. The installation takes a little while and it can be tough to get it lined up perfectly but once it locks down it's on the for good. It does allow you to get your support arm out farther which is nice and it has mlok capabilities. Overall it's a good handguard but I would like to see a gen 2 that is a bit slider and a bit lighter.

I had to do a lot of fitting (cutting the plastic and metal) to make this work on my N-PAP M70. I hope the stock that Magpul is making for the AK is as bad. I can't even use the gas tube cover that was supplied. It would be nice if Magpul stated this before hand. That all being said once I got it "right" it's a huge improvement over the original.

How to do some mods to the foregrip so I don't have to cut off my locking bracket for the foregrip or my sling tab. After these mods before grip is nice and steady doesn't move works great.

Put this on my Sagia 47. So much better than stock. Love the looks, easy to install. Way more functional. Highly recommend. Going to be looking for one for the Sagia 12 now.

Absolutely love the fit an finish on this hand guard. Gives the AK a cleaner look, an gives it some function. Love the extra length. Super easy install once you get past the retainer ring. That's the only hard part. And it's only down side is the permanent modification. If you really wanted to go back you would have to remove gas block and front sight to install a new handguard retainer to go back to the original.
