They are designed to ensure the exact amount of vertical lock-up promoting the best possible accuracy. The specs on this link are a center-to-center hole distance .010” undersize Mil-Spec increments. Some gunsmithing may be necessary to ensure a custom tight gunsmith fit for a precise lockup and improved accuracy.
