The Odin Works AR-15 Adjustable Gas Block lets you fine-tune gas pressure to a specific load or buffer configuration for lighter, smoother recoil. Built for .750" barrels, this adjustable gas block locks in its setting with a ball detent rather than relying on set screws to hold the adjustment in place, so a dialed-in setting stays put.

The ball detent gives each of the 20 clicks a positive, repeatable stop, so a setting found on the range stays put rather than drifting under recoil. This gas block is not intended for use with pistol length gas systems or high-pressure ammunition, so confirm compatibility with your gas system length before ordering, and the Inconel screw and spring are built to withstand sustained heat from a running gas system.

Definitely would buy again.

Put this on a 300 Blackout 16" inch (pistol gas) that I took as far as possible with a heavier buffer spring and adjustable buffer weight. Installing this allowed for further fine-tuning and it did not disappoint. Double tapping at 10 yards with a 3" group. The BCG carbon fouling was at a fraction of pre-installation. One inconsistency that I did find was that in a caveat on the package vs website. On the package, it says not to be used on pistol-length gas systems. But, the website says not to be used with pistol-length gas systems and high pressure rounds. I did e-mail Odin and they affirmed that pistol length gas is OK as long as high pressure rounds are not used.
Tames lwrc DI suppressed back pressure

Running a saker k on a 16 inch lwrc di. The back pressure is high, so high in fact that the gas setting has to be set all the way closed with this gas block. Luckily, I am getting normal ejection patterns.
Paid a gunsmith down the road to do a swap. The taper pins on lwrc carbines can be tough to pinch out. Remember to make sure to buy a proper sized gas tube as well. Very satisfied. A shorter hex head adjustment tool can be purchased on Amazon to make in the field adjustments and story it away in your pistol grip.

I like forward adjusting gas blocks. Especially this one with the detent ball. 20 adjustment settings is great. Here's why. I like to do a little fabrication work with these. I very carefully tac weld the long allen wrench into the adjustment knob. I then trim the L so I can make adjustments on the fly. I like to put a piece of shrink tubing over the wrench handle to increase the surface area for grasping.
Does not fit Aero Precision

Looks well made but was not "low profile" enough for my Aero Precision Atlas handguard. The top profile of the gas block is too thick to fit the handgaurd profile. Into the spare parts bin we go.
Missing part

It didn’t feel right when turning the adjustment. It was missing the ball for the detent. Ordered the rebuild kit and got it going. Feels good and nice clicks when adjusting.
Check for QC

Did not cycle no matter what setting I had it on. Turns out someone in QC didn't do their job and didn't finish drilling the gas hole. I've been trying to contact ODIN works themselves but they're not responding.
Over all very displeased.

This is a great gas block. With 20 adjustments I only had to use #9 on my 300 blackout pistol build. It made me really glad I bought an adjustable block. -1 star because I was really hoping it would be able to adjust on the fly whenever I want. But I found after multiple magazines I couldn't do much, if any adjusting. Get this set how you want it within your first magazine.
