These add just a bit extra to help lock the bcg back. These should be the standard. Have in multiple ARs and they're solid.

Excellent upgrade from the standard bolt catch. It’s definitely much easier to manage due to the increase surface area.

I now have this bolt catch installed on three different rifles. That should tell you enough, but here's why I like it: Great fit and finish, enhanced functionality with the enlarged bottom finger pad for locking the bolt open without a mag in, slightly larger tooth grabs testy mag followers better, no extraneous BS like oversized, ridiculous stealth-fighter-looking styling to it. Everything you need, nothing you don't. Great part!

The bolt catch works great. Makes the bolt much easier to grab. Excellent part.

Substantial little piece. Better than the standard but not intrusive. Should come with a roll pin.

The lower pad is a little bigger than the tiny milspec version but not too much bigger... just enough to make it more functional without being gimmicky. I bought it mostly because I wanted a heavy duty bolt catch for my SHTF gun, but I really like the enlarged lower pad. The price is right and it will be my go-to for all future builds.

As a lefty I tried different bolt catches, this is the one that works best for me. My index finger falls right on the extend catch, and makes locking the back easy. It's smaller than others, and is less intrusive. Looks great on the gun, and is well made.

I am a leftie and proud of it! I bought a P-415 which came with this bolt catch and have since bought two more for my S&W M&P15 and my self-assembled AM-15 lower. This bolt catch allows me to both hold the bolt open and release the bolt with the index and second finger on my left hand making it perfect for the left-handed shooter. I very much recommend it for lefties.
