The SLx optics are the heart of our lineup. The trusted optics that have built our reputation through the years. Although many SLx optics will be familiar to Primary Arms fans, we are always pushing forward with new generations and adding even more options in response to the demands of our loyal customers.
Here at Primary Arms, we believe in providing you with high quality, affordable optics and red dot sights that will get the job done when you need them most. The MD-ADS has been our bestselling microdot for the past two years and it features an estimated 50,000 hours of battery life from a single CR2032 battery at medium illumination setting. With 12 total illumination settings, you can quickly adjust the red dot with the top mounted push-buttons to the appropriate brightness depending on the time of day. This red dot sight is even compatible with night vision equipment to further extend its range of uses. The 2 MOA red dot is extremely crisp and allows you to take quickly aimed shots at short range while still giving you the ability to make effective shots at medium ranges. The glass that the red dot is projected on is fully multi-coated to reduce reflection and provide a clear sight picture. The glass and electronic internals are covered by a durable, black hardcoat anodized, 6061 aluminum housing with O-rings providing protection from water and fog. Because we are so confident in this micro dot, we decided to offer it with a 3-year warranty. If you are serious about home defense or target shooting, this red dot sight will definitely get the job done.

One of the main complaints about buying micro dots is not all come with mounts and you must spend even more money just to mount it to your rifle. We have noticed this trend and decided to include a MIL-STD-1913 picatinny rail mount so you can immediately attach it to your AR15, AK47, or another weapon system as soon as you open the box. The mount is even removable so you can attach it to any standard micro mount if you want to co-witness with your iron sights. Adjusting the zero of the dot is made easy with the ½ MOA audible click adjustments that are protected by aluminum caps. Also included with this optic is a bikini lens cover to protect the glass when not in use.
Built on the foundation that customer service is the most important product/service a company can offer, Primary Arms is dedicated to meeting the need of every customer with the utmost respect. Ratings & Reviews
This one is super clear and sharp with a nice crisp 2moa dot that's better than any other product. Don't hesitate to try this one out

Wow. I am impressed with this one. Received item this morning, mounted on my Saint 5.56 AR, and went out to do some shooting.
One click zero and I was in at 100 yds. 200 rounds down the pipe, and still spot on.
Thank you Primary Arms.
Very Happy so Far
Two clicks right, two clicks down. My SKS was 1/2 moa at 50 yards with a horrible Norinco trigger. I am running the Scout Mount in the rear sight mount. Because it is winter the mid-day sun was behind me instead of over me. I freaked out when I tuned on the sight because the sun was coming into the objective and creating red spider webs. It took me a minute of oh no to shade the lens and viola. So just be aware that low angle sun will refract in the lens. Excellent sight guys, so far.
Solid good quality works well.
by KRISTOPHER -
Words well, 1-2 inch groups at 25 yards sitting or standing. Glass is good clarity, dot is good clarity. After 200 rounds of 5.56 no change in zero.
Makes paper target head shots at 25 yards too easy. Makes accurately shooting significantly easier then with just iron sites. I would rebuy and I would recommend. Seems like a solid good quality optic.
Great 308 red dot

Is there a better company to do business with? Man if there is I have yet to find it.
I have purchased many items from PA since near the companies inception, I have vary rarely needed customer support, but the very few times I have needed it, they have handled the issue like no other.
Take this red dot, I purchased one in 2017, loved it from day one. Battery life as advertised, held zero, clear glass, etc. Never had an issue until a few weeks ago.
I contacted PA customer support, and man they were on top of it, they issued me an RMA, I sent it back expecting it to be repaired.
But instead, these fine people sent me a brand new one!
You really cannot go wrong with this red-dot, and I really don't think you can find a better company to do business with than PA.
Good RDS, good value
Mounted this on my Beretta CX4 9mm carbine using the PA 1.65 inch riser. Windage and elevation adjustment controls made precise zeroing easy. 2 MOA dot is clear and crisp in the optic, brightness simple to adjust (I wear glasses, so I use a lower brightness setting to prevent the dot from "blooming" in the optic). 1.65 inch riser allows 100 percent cowitness through the riser with no need to remove or adjust anything. Also allows more natural eye positioning and thus very quick target acquisition. All in all, so far I'm very satisfied with this combination.
Hard to beat, at any price.
I am retired military and have had the opportunity to use many optics over the years. The PA red dot is right on par with our AimPoints IMO. It has a sharp 2 moa dot and holds zero without fail (in my experience) I own 3 PA red dots, and a few more scopes. They are great with customer service, you get more for your money here than anywhere. If you’re on the fence, go for it, you won’t regret it. Aimpoint t-1 protective cover works great. I’ve had this one for about 3 years I think and I have zero complaints!
Great little red dot and great service!

Great little red dot and great service!
When i first received mine, it came with a dead battery which should of thrown up a red flag, I replaced the battery and kept moving along. 6 months later, I'm in texas for a shooting competition and the red dot stops working on me. Tried replacing the battery, nothing. I call up primary arms and tell them about my situation. They over night ship one to me in texas! i install it that night, zero it the next morning and run it in the competition. A+ for their excellent service!
2 years later my red dot is holding strong with no issues. haven't even needed to replace the battery yet.
PA MICRO DOT IS THE BEST FOR THE MONEY!!
I own two now the FDE and black both work very well. I’ve owned the black version for 2 years now and still works and no battery change yet. I’ve also had ordered a holosun ACSS and when I installed the battery it wouldn’t turn on!? So I said screw it returned it and order the PA micro instead. Best affordable and durable red dot out there! And as always fast shipping. Which is saying a lot since I live out in Hawaii!
Good budget optic

Good red dot for the price you're paying, only one complaint I have is the dot is a bit blurry and not as round.
Great red dot, aimpoint T1 and H1 killer.

I love this optic and plan on getting more of these and PA optics in general. The customer service is great. I just was reading reviews about the optic turning on sometimes, and I've noticed it seems like it turns itself on sometimes when in storage and not touched. I might need to investigate it more, but that's the only thing that kinda concerns me. Otherwise it's an awesome buy.

Ok this is one tuff SOB! Before mounting this Micro Dot on my AR I was in a hurry to get to the range and like a dummy I left it on the roof of my patrol car. I answered a quick call enroute to the range I hear thump and look in my rear view mirror to see what it was. I see my new Micro Dot tumbling the same direction in the opposite lane. I noticed a 5 axel semi run completely over it sending it into the path of a pickup truck who also ran over it before I could get turned around to recover it. While planning for the worst I pick it up and quickly noticed that other than having asphalt embedded in it and a small crack in the front lens it seemed to turn on and focused perfectly. I mounted it on my gun and zeroed it in and it works perfect. I was sure that it was destroyed but the quality construction kept it intact. I am very impressed with this Micro Dot.
So easy to hit the target

Got this Red Dot for my AK. Went to the range and after 3 sets of 3 shots each (9 total rounds) I was shooting dead on.... Can't miss the steel target at 125 Yds.
Sight turns back on under AR15 recoil.
by Curtis -
Mixed feelings on this red dot. Mounted it on an AR15. Turns on and functions reliably. Seems to hold zero. Like everything about it except one thing. When I turn it off and switch to my iron sights, the PA Micro turns back on after each shot. Too reliable? Other than that it’s a good sight. Due to weather I’ve only used it a couple times so I want to see if this continues. I know PA will take care of it if it does so I’m not very concerned. I will update if problem resolves itself or I end up getting a replacement.
From PA: Hey Curtis - it aint supposed to do that. We would love to get that one back in so we can figure out what is going on. Of course we will make sure you have a new on in your hands first.
Great budget optic

Great optic at a great price. Excellent clarity and its comparable to the Aimpoint Comp M2 I have. Had no issues zeroing and withstood recoil from a C308 with no shift in zero
If your on the fence, just buy it

Amazing optic. Once it was zeroed I have not ever had to adjust it again. It is clearly visible in even the brightest of light (noon, sunny day, complete snow cover) and has held zero from being in 100 to -10 degrees Fahrenheit and dry and wet weather for over 1000 rounds. I have it mounted on an American defense 1/3 co-witness riser and had been taken on and off multiple times to change optics and always returned to zero. My only regret is that i bought it before the new one with the rotary knob brightness adjustment came out. i have large hands and the knob would be easier to use plus it is $20 dollars cheaper, but it has functioned flawlessly none the less. Amazing optic that i would buy again.
Great sight at any price
Excellent sight. I mounted this to a 11" AR pistol and it works great. Used a Geissle co-witness mount and this is just what this pistol needed. I will buy again for other AR projects. Great product and service. Thanks PA.
Great red dot scope for the price.
Nice, crisp 2MOA red dot. Love the 50k battery life, and that it takes 2032 battery. This thing is a tack driver on my 300bk with 8.5 barrel. The only thing I've never tested is how well it works underwater.
Great Aim point killer.

Great red dot. PA's warranty makes this thing even better.

Excellent red dot, does everything it should.

First one came with battery DOA, which means internal short but i swapped the battery and over looked it. come one month later, I'm out of town for a 3 gun competition and found the thing dead again. I called up PA and they over-night'd me a replacement to the place i was staying at. i was able to zero and run it in the competition that weekend.

Ive since bought several more and only had problems with that one. Bad luck of the draw there, no one is 100% but PA's warranty service makes this thing top of the line.

I'm very impressed with this sight! It's better than what I expected - the glass is clear and the dot is perfect. So perfect in fact that I'd compare it with my Aimpoint compM4 (optically - I'm in the Army). I was very hesitant about buying this sight (figured it was cheap crap) until an Army buddy told me he has three of these (the one that sells for about $90) and is planning to buy more (he is VERY picky about kit). So I bought this one (for the 50,000 hrs) and attached it to an American Defense Micro Mount - Absolute Cowitness quick release (also sold here). Four solid screws attached it plus a little blue loctite. Clamped it on my AR and it was ready to go! I even "whacked" the sight a few times pretty hard with my hand to see if the sight would break - nope. I am really quite surprised by the quality of this optic, I suppose we'll see in the long run. Buy one, you won't be disappointed! If you are, PA will take it back and make it right. Win, win!
I love this red dot. No need for Eotech and Aimpoint anymore
by Rifle Builders Talk -
I just purchased this red dot and holy hell is it amazing. I opened the box and there was a couple hex tools lint cloth some loctite and the red dot. I turned it on and was in awe. We will be torture testing this and I also will be making a video unboxing because this is truly an amazing red dot for the price. MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE RISER. I DIDNT AND AM ORDERING NOW.
Excellent budget red dot
This is an excellent red dot for the money. The glass is clear and the dot is very easy to pick up. It remembers the brightness setting when you turn it off and on again which is nice. My Eotech that cost about 3x as much as this one can't even do that. Fits like a glove on AK rifles equipped with a side rail using the RS Regulate 301M and AKML mounts. My first trip to the range I had it dialed-in in no time at all.
Nice RD; Dot not truly round
I use this sight on a target 22 pistol for league shooting. Sighted in the RDS at 50 ft last evening. Was on paper right off but 6" too high and right at the 10:00 o'clock position. Took about 30 rounds before I was convinced the dot was zeroed. Previously had a bushnell TRS 25 that failed but was VERY accurate. The rheostat on my TRS 25 failed after 2 yrs. The dot on this PA RDS got a bit distracting as it did not appear round. Had to keep refreshing my eyes to see if it was me or the sight. Tried it at several brightness settings and abve 5 or 6 clicks on brightness setting star effect is too great for Bullseye shooting IMHO. When shooting at a bullseye the size of a dime the RD shape matters. Will continue to use it to see if I can adjust to the dot shape. Appears very sturdy and well machined. Was very attracted to the battery life and pushbuttons.
Just doesn't hold up on Ak Ultimak
First one I had lasted about 6 months mounted on my Ak Ultimak rail. Then randomly the rear glass fell off while firing my weapon. Contacted PA and had a replacement in less than a week. I then went to the range to zero the replacement in. 30 rounds down range and then had a random zero shit. Upon attempting to adjust the windage and elevation the screws were very hard to turn to adjust windage and elevation. I am now on my third advanced micro red dot. If this one fails I will not request a replacement. I will request a refund and go another route. While PA customer service has been spot on and been very helpful. I'm really hoping the third time around this works. But do not trust this optic if my life depended on it. I do not suggest running this optic on a Ultimak rail based on my experience.
