The Classic Series™ proves that entry-level optics don’t have to be poor quality optics. Unlike some other brands, Primary Arms doesn't use the word “value” as a euphemism for “junk”. Classic Series red dots are perfect for the budget conscious and the new shooter. Every product is inspected in their facility in Houston to ensure you are receiving the best quality product as the other three tiers. These red dots are backed by the same excellent customer service and support as all other Primary Arms products.

The Primary Arms MRS Mini Reflex Sight is a continuation of the new line of red dot sights designed specifically for mounting to pistol slides. The Mini Reflex Sight is optimized for full size carry pistols or competition guns as it features a large 24x17mm lens allowing for a quick and easy sight picture all while weighing under an ounce. It utilizes the popular 507c footprint for a wide range of compatibility with milled slides and adapter plates and houses a bottom mounted CR2032 battery offering up to 40k hours of battery life on the medium setting. With 10 total illumination settings, and a daylight bright 3 MOA red dot, this reflex sight is sure to be quick to pick up and easy to use. The lens is fully multicoated for scratch and fog resistance and the 6061 Aluminum housing is extremely durable. If, you are looking for a new red dot for carry, competition, or even your rifle, you can't go wrong with the Primary Arms MRS.

Great quality budget option

by

Pretty well exactly as advertised. Nothing fancy, but well made and a very good budget red dot

Surpassed my expectations

by -

I put this on my M17 Bravo duty weapon with a Boberg Engineering RMR mounting plate since this optic has the RMR footprint. The fit was flawless. All the screws that came with the mounting plate fit my slide and the optic perfectly. The only thing I need to source myself was locktite. This looks like it belongs in the M17/P320 and has a crisp 3 MOA dot. I already conducted an unintended durability test as well. Rotating it all sorts of ways to look it in my hands I dropped my slide and as luck would have it it landed upside down on the optic. This was slide and optic only not the entire firearm, but it survived from 6ft drop. I wish I could add photos so you could see how good this looks on the M17B. Extremely happy with the purchase and plan on putting some serious rounds through this as soon as my . 375 front suppressor height sight comes in.

Okay I guess

The big fingers will press + and - at same time turning off device.
Having button set up like micro may work better

Amazing for the money.

So I have just over 500 rounds on this optic. About half of that is defensive / duty ammo. I mounted this to my p320 duty weapon and have not been gentle to the optic at all. That being said, it's already been used in the rain, used it to rack my slide and has been dropped and smacked against a doorway and it's still holding zero. Working in law enforcement, I was kind of hesitant to buy a budget optic but figured with usable iron sights I'd be willing to take the chance.
The brightness settings are great. Out in the Texas sun you can still clearly see the dot.
My only gripe was zeroing the optic. There's not a tactile or audible click when adjusting the optic. The adjustment screws have a smooth turn which makes zeroing a little confusing but not impossible. A strongly suggest bench resting your weapon and turning the screws in small increments.

Excellent Customer Service

by

This isn’t as much of a review on the product as there is on the customer service. I had an issue with my order and a few hours after I place the order, I reached out through email and spoke to Jason. Jason fix my order right away without any issues. This is the first time I have ordered from primary arms and it will not be the last because of this kind of customer service. I will be doing your review on YouTube with this optic soon when I mount it on my P320c Custom.

Bang for buck

by

This optic is top notch as bang for buck, only thing that’d make it better is shake awake

Excellent value

by

I bought one right when they were released and mounted it on a canted Badger Ordnance mount on my AR. It was easy to zero, holds zero well so far, and seems to be very sturdy. So far I've used it on a multi-day hunting trip as a backup to my magnified optic and in an upper level carbine course. It held up without any issues or loss of zero. I am actually leaving this review as I am ordering a second for another build.

Very Basic very simple

by -

The dot is very simple without some of the features you might expect from modern dots. The description does give you a heads up that the dot will shut off after 12 hours AND you have to manually turn it on. What it doesn’t say is that the brightness cannot be locked. I like how fast it is to turn on though. Just a simple quick push of one of the buttons it is on. And it takes a considerable long time to to shut off by holding both buttons down; unlikely to accidentally shut off. After about 130 rounds on an M&P 10mm its still holding zero. For the price with a metal construction it’s hard to beat. But probably best for a range gun since there are no locks on the brightness

Best bang for your buck!

by

You can’t find a better pistol red dot for less money. This has an RMR footprint, which works amazing with most of my guns. The glass is clear, with minimal tint and distortion. There is less distortion on this than a 507c. Only my $600 ACRO has better glass. After 3 months and 700 rounds, I have no major problems so far.

Punches above its price point.

by -

This the only budget pistol sight under $200 that’s worthwhile. I wouldn’t bother with any other brand around the same price. The glass is impeccable. It’s better glass than my 507, and almost on par with my ACRO P2. No major bluing or tint, and very little distortion. There is no noticeable emitter refresh rate issues either. I can’t speak to reliability under adverse conditions, but it has worked well under range and EDC conditions. I have mounted it to a P320 and a Shadow Systems, with about 750 rounds combined in two months, and I have had no major issues. I would absolutely recommend this for competition or EDC use.
