The Radian Weapons Extended Bolt Catch is an easy to install part that will greatly enhance the ergonomics and utility of your AR-15. This bolt catch lever features textured  levers that are easy to activate and the lower paddle protrudes out to offer more surface area, while the top paddle is larger than standard parts to make it easier for the palm or thumb to activate. Radian Weapons Extended Bolt Catch addresses the shortcomings of factory bolt catches and comes with a bolt catch roll pin.

Fills a space

This bolt catch is well machined, nicely finished and quite functional. I like the little pad on the bottom that makes it easier to lock the bolt back. The big paddle is, well, big. This part really doesn't function any better than similar designs, but it matches the cutout in a Bear Creek side charging upper, which is why I bought this. If you have a BC upper or just want a really big bolt catch, this is a quality part that will probably outlast the rifle.

Simple but effective upgrade

I much prefer the look of the radian bolt catch to the geissele maritime, but gives the same extended controls and doesn’t seem like a snag hazard. Can’t speak for durability yet but already plan to add more of these to a couple other lower once they get more in stock.
