This Primary Arms rifle scope is part of the SLx optics line. SLx optics have built a reputation for innovation, reliability, and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment.

The Primary Arms SLx 1-8x24 first focal plane (FFP) rifle scope offers an expansive magnification range with an eight-time zoom ratio in a compact, lightweight, and affordable package. This tough low power variable optic (LPVO) features full red reticle illumination, a quick focus eyepiece, and low profile, finger adjustable turrets topped by the new turret caps. To get you from 1x to 8x and back, the SLx FFP rifle scope features the moveable and replaceable magnification ring fin. To top it all off they are backing this scope with lifetime warranty!

Amazing optic for my custombilt 16in barrel AR

by

Great clarity got here super fast great all purpose optic! Definitely would recommend can't wait to take it hunting

Best FFP LPVO dollar for dollar.

by

I have 1 year of use with this optic mounted on a SOPMOD block 2 build that has been used and abused running and gunning. I have shot approx. 2k rounds with this optic, it has held zero flawlessly since the day I zeroed it. I can make 300m shots on an 8" gong with ease, I'm confident it could push 500m if given the opportunity. The ACSS reticle is immensely resourceful and practical. The battery life is not as good as the competition but stowing a battery the size of a quarter somewhere on your rifle is easy-the reticle is also etched so I'm not too worried about it.
The glass is clear, the reticle is sharp, and the magnification is smooth and easy. I was dead set on a trijicon accupoint but I am thankful I went with this option-I can have two for the price of one trijicon.
I cannot recommend this optic enough for shooters of all skill level, it just works. Hope this was helpful.

Wonderful scope so far, but have concerns with reticle illumination

by

Got to test it the other day on an AR15, 16". Great glass, very clear. Adjusted and held zero throughout use.

Love the FFP ACSS reticle--not too busy, but has everything needed for my targeting needs. My only quibble is the brightness of the reticle. In the bright sunlight, it seemed not as bright as others I've used, albeit I'm used to red dot scopes.

Here's the problem, the scope is advertised as useful at close quarters when set to 1x power and the entire reticle used as a "red dot". I have a hard time doing that and finding the (smallish) reticle for quick acquisition.

The reticle needs to get brighter--or *bigger*. I think that setting the power to 2x produces a better/faster acquisition for me at close ranges without sacrificing field of view too much, but that seems subjective to one's "tastes". YMMV

Great Scope

by -

This scope far exceeded my expectations.
Reticle: great reticle at 8x with the holdovers. And surprisingly great reticle up close.
Turrets: turrets are nice and simple. You cannot reset them back to zero, which is not a big deal for a scope with turret caps. If they were to ever upgrade, the GLx locking turrets are amazing, even if the price went up slightly.
Illumination: almost daylight bright. Still perfectly visible without illumination. There is no off setting in between settings.
Magnification Ring: it was smooth, but I still opted to get the scope lever, which works perfect. It is amazingly smooth with the scope lever.
Weight: at 17.9 oz, it is hard to beat.
Magnification: on 1x, there is slight fishbowl, but the eye box is very forgiving. I can see the reticle with the stock all the way in, or all the way out. It is that forgiving on 1x. On 8x, it obviously gets tight, but no different than any other scope that I have used.
Overall: highly recommended.

Perfect for My Rifle.

by

I had been pining after this scope for a while and purchased it recently. I just took it out to sight her in and was able to get a preliminarily zero in less than 20 rounds. Once I had it more or less where I wanted it (I still need to fine tune it) I was able to get easily repeatable shots with a nice tight group at 50 yards. It went into my mount nicely and looks great on my weapon and the adjustments are smooth and easy manipulate. The illuminated reticle is easily bright enough to see in bright daylight. I can't wait to take her out and really stretch its legs some more.

Buy it

by -

You will not regret this purchase. Glass is clear. Reticle is perfect. On 1x it can be used with both eyes open. Illumination is bright enough for daylight use. Buy it. You want it. You deserve it.

I bought a second...this is why.

5 star FFP LPVO at this price point. Bought a second primarily for commonality as a result of the usable FFP reticle and excellent clarity at 8x when compared to a popular SFP 1-8x product by another manufacturer. Reticle is not overly cluttered, although right at the edge of being a bit too busy. Within the "mission profile" of an LPVO (contact to a mid-range of 600 yds max), the mil grid is probably overkill. Illumination is not "daytime bright" but provides sufficient contrast against dark targets or into shadowed areas. Holdovers have proved accurate for hunting or tactical applications beyond 300 yds (although YMMV based on platform and ammo). Solidly built; has taken abuse and is no worse for wear when paired with a MidWest Industries mount. With the accessory PA throw lever changing power while staying on the glass is easy. Without the throw lever...not so much. Get the throw lever...

fantctic scope

Put this on my AR 10. After sighting in at 100 yards could hit all my steel to 380 yards.

Doesn't Disappoint

by -

I bought this as a duty optic for an 18" AR, to get into the 21st Century and leave behind the 1-4x State policy had saddled us with for years. This has an uncluttered reticle that actually works for range finding, and holds its own with some serious competitors costing three times as much. Adjustment is true, great optical quality. Weight isn't a big issue either, and the construction quality is excellent. I'll buy another one.

My duty carry optic

by

I've carried this optic on my AR15 duty rifle for the past year and it has been great. As long as Primary arms stands behind this product for duty use, then this is a hard optic to beat for the price.
