The Sons of Liberty Gun Works MK1 CAR is a 5.56 NATO short barreled rifle with an 11.5-inch barrel, built on SOLGW's MK1 billet receiver set and MK1-specific rail system. It ships with one 30-round Gen3 PMAG. Weight is 6.2 pounds.

The 11.5-inch medium contour barrel features P3 rifling with 3-groove polygonal rifling for ammunition forgiveness and extended barrel life. The barrel is chrome-lined 41V50 steel with conservative port sizing, 5/8x24 muzzle threads, and a .750-inch gas journal on a carbine gas system. The HUXWRX muzzle device is installed.

The MK1 rail system features a continuous M1913 Picatinny top rail, minimal rail deflection, integrated cable routing, laser texturing, and 7-sided M-LOK slots. The extended barrel nut is titanium with a heat management coating. The rifle includes an NP3-coated bolt carrier group, Liberty Charging Handle, Liberty 2-stage trigger at 4.5 pounds total, Badger ambidextrous safety, and SOLGW's enhanced A5-length buffer system with A5H2 buffer and stainless steel action spring.

As a short barreled rifle, this is an NFA item requiring a Form 4 transfer and compliance with all applicable NFA regulations.

Ships with one 30-round Gen3 PMAG or compliant magazine for applicable locations. Each rifle is individually built and test-fired.
