Hard Use Barrel

I’ve run this 10.5 barrel as a MK18 Mod 0 clone for a little over a year now. It’s been cleaned once in 3,550 rounds. This thing is certainly more accurate than I am and it’s reliably run everything I’ve put thru it. Can’t recommend this barrel enough.
SOLGW 10.5" barrel

I was excited to get this in but when I got it I couldn't get the gas tube to fit in the gas block. It appears that the front handguard bracket is slightly off center not allowing the tube to slide into the FSB. I will probably have to file some of the bracket down but for how much this barrel is I shouldn't have to do this. Second SOLGW part, first was a lower receiver which is awesome but I'm really disappointed in this product.
Accurate

So far it's been very accurate, stacking rounds at 50yds with a red dot when I zeroed it in.
Nice overall for the money

My left feed ramp has a slight overhang, However I'm not worried about this because I Subscribe to the Doctrine of polishing my ramps anyway so I will correct that . Has not been fired yet but it did pass a live 556 round( The only military uses go gages because they're not allowed to end the armory as a procedure Try not to introduce live rounds into the armory where they're being worked on in those guns) and a no go gauge did not chamber So that is positive. Front side base has been cleanly installed and doesn't seem to be canted. Visual inspection of the bore and chamber are flawlesss from the perspective of my naked eye. I will know more when I shoot it.
SOLGW 10.5” Combat Barrel
by Daniel -
I have several SOLGW parts including a complete lower which is the best fitting, best looking lower receiver I’ve seen but this barrel was a mess. The handguard retainer plate that’s pinned to the gas block was tacked on crooked so the gas tube would not slip in. I had to spend about 45 mins with a very small file enlarging the hole in the plate. Taking off material, trying the fit, filing off material, seeing if it fits, over and over again was a pain in the ass. I would think QC would do a quick check to see if a gas tube would fit in or even look at the hole and notice that about 1/4 of the hole was covered up. Anyway, nice barrel, bad QC. Do with that as you will.
