Details

The Spike's Tactical BAR2 freefloat handguards put lie to the claim that quad rails are heavy or clunky. The one-piece design is precision machined from durable 6061-T6 aluminum with a healthy internal diameter that's perfect for recessed suppressors yet weighs in at just 14.5 Oz with barrel nut! Add in six integral QD sling swivel sockets and the inherent universal mounting that is M1913 Picatinny rails on four surfaces and you have a quad rail that won't weigh you down.

The BAR2 handguard solves this by milling out material where it isn't needed, offering a rail that isn't just lightweight, but aesthetically pleasing to boot. For enhanced shooter comfort, the rails have been scalloped and deburred as well. The rail even ships with a 3-pack of Ergo’s lightweight and effective ladder rail covers. For rigidity, the BAR2 is equipped with a 7075-T6 aluminum BAR-type barrel nut, offering incredibly secure, flex-free mounting. Installation doesn’t require special “sold separately” tools, either! The BAR nut is fully compatible with standard 3-pin USGI barrel nut wrenches found on most shooters work benches already. Another great Spikes product at Primary Experience

12" Spikes BAR Rail fit perfectly on my Spikes upper. No issues with alignment and all parts were included. Can't say enough on how quick PA ships and contacts you with your tracking. They are the best.

One Quality Lightweight Piece

I added this rail to my Spikes lower and 16" barrel. This rail installed easily in about 20 mins. Just follow the included directions, and experiment with different size shims that are included. You do need a quality armorers wrench, and recommended to have a torque wrench. The rail is very comfortable. It allows for an extended arm grip. Diameter is a little larger than most rails, but feels great. Would highly recommend for a quality product.

I've done 12 full Spikes Tactical builds, 4 I put the BAR rails on, from the 7" to the 12 inch. Easy installation, rock solid, the anti rotational tabs are a great design, I've installed other brands free float quads and all of them have come loose after firing a number of rounds. Spikes BAR never budged. Lightweight and the milling is beautiful. Only rail system I recommend BAR none. Primary arms is great to deal with as well, never had an issue with them and there shipping is quick as well as there prices being some pf the best around. Good job guys.

Love this rail! Cosmetically appealing, Very light weight considering it’s width, gives the barrel air flow and I’m able to see my stainless VLTOR gas block.
Install was flawless, ended up with a thick and skinny shim together and 40 ft/lbs of torque which is within the realm for 30-80 ft/lbs.
The rubber rail covers included make it comfortable to hold and comes with blue loctite if you choose to use it.
If your building a pistol or SBR this thing would look amazing with a flash can or suppersor.
