Sprinco AR-15 buffer springs are made from high-quality chrome silicon wire stock, the same material used in applications from Formula One to motor valve springs that can see up to 15,000,000 compression cycles in a single race -- far more than an AR-15 buffer spring will ever see over its lifetime. To retain that strength, Sprinco heat treats, shot peens, and treats each spring with a proprietary formula that preserves spring efficiency for as long as the rifle is owned.

This spring is color coded green, indicating it's optimal for use with 5.56 AR-15s running a rifle-length gas system and A2-length buffer tube. Sprinco has extensively tested this setup and found it works great with a VLTOR A5 stock setup, and the color coding makes it easy to identify which power spring is installed if you have a habit of changing configurations.

Well made spring

Replaced a weak spring on my C7 clone and the Sprinco spring is a lot stronger and now when the bolt release is pushed, the bolt closes with authority like it should. No twang like the one that replaced it either!

What? Buy SpringCo, Yeah you can save $$ on your buffer spring but you shouldn't, buy the best, it's in the name, only complaint is NO STICKER!!!

It may not be necessary but its definitely a good upgrade. I dropped it I'm my A2 lower and the most noticeable thing to me was the spring noise was gone. Would definitely recommend.

PA ships fast as always, and this spring works great with the A5 system from VLTOR, although you probably want the A5H1 buffer instead of the A5H2 with this spring unless your system is horrendously overgassed.

I buy these for the quality. I can tell a difference in shooting and these coils last longer. I do not have the tools to fact check that they are better for the gun, but when paired with the right buffer it serves for smoother shooting.
Green Spring for the A5 is the way to go!
