The Sprinco M4/AR-15 Yellow Reduced Power Carbine Buffer Spring is a high-quality buffer spring that offers many advantages. This spring is made from ASTM Grade A877 Certified Valve Quality Chrome silicon Wirestock. It has been heat-treated, stress-relieved, and dual-stage shot-peened post-winding for maximum durability and performance. The Sprinco Yellow spring is approximately 20% lighter than the White spring and is color-coded yellow for easy identification.
The Yellow spring offers consistent spring pressure through the cycle of the spring, resulting in fewer malfunctions related to spring operation, especially Type III malfunctions. It also provides improved and consistent cyclic function, and its resistance to heat-induced performance degradation is greater than other buffer springs.
The cyclic rate can be reduced with enhanced or extra power springs, and bolt bounce can be eliminated with optimal spring/buffer weight selection. The Yellow spring has a reduced operating cost as it won't need replacement during the life of the upper receiver assembly. This reduces downtime and the need to visit the armorer for spring replacement, making it the only buffer spring needed for the duty cycle of your carbine or rifle. Correct spring selection works reliably, consistently, and virtually indefinitely in all properly built and maintained AR platforms, providing increased "lock time" for faster sight recovery and platform stability.

Reduced Power spring

I ordered this spring to help with the ejection of a 5.56 pistol. It was denting the front of the case mouth as it would eject the round and would not reload the next one. I equipped it with standard parts as this was my first pistol build. I used an 8in Faxon barrel with a 3oz buffer and standard buffer spring. Turns out the Faxon barrels are equipped with smaller gas ports requiring lighter weighted parts such as this spring. This was the only thing I had to replace, and it works flowless now. Great product with great resalts. I highly recommend this to anyone using a Faxon pistol barrel.
Fix for 13.7 w/ mid length gas

I have a 13.7 middy that was under gassed just enough to not fully cycle sub par ammo. Most of the time it would cycle but never lock back on last round. Could’ve just stuck with the milspec spring and only use quality ammo but I want all my rifles shooting any type of ammo, just my preference. Threw the yellow in and it ejects rounds at 4 and cycles perfect.
