The Strategic Sciences MFMD 5.56 Suppressor is a multi-function muzzle device designed to suppress sound, reduce flash signature, and act as a muzzle brake for recoil control.

The MFMD allows shooters to streamline their rifle setup without sacrificing performance. With a 64% recoil reduction, it improves control and shot-to-shot recovery, while a 98% flash reduction helps maintain visual awareness in low-light environments. Producing 138.5 dB as a standalone device, it reaches hearing-safe levels without additional attachments. The system is also modular—when paired with the optional SD or SDX Suppressor Devices, users can further reduce flash and sound without replacing the core muzzle device, making it adaptable to evolving needs.

This MFMD is designed for 5.56 rifles with 1/2x28 threads and requires 1.3 inches of over-the-barrel clearance, measured from the barrel shoulder to the first obstruction. If this clearance is not available, the device will not fit. Installation is direct-thread only, with no adapters required.
