The Strategic Sciences MFMD 5.56 is a multi-purpose muzzle device designed to suppress sound, minimize muzzle flash, and provide effective recoil management.

Designed to simplify rifle configurations without compromising capability, the MFMD delivers a 64% reduction in recoil to enhance stability and allow faster follow-up shots. Its 98% flash reduction preserves the shooter’s sight picture in low-light conditions, while a measured 138.5 dB output as a standalone unit places it within hearing-safe thresholds. The platform is fully modular—when used with the optional SD or SDX Suppressor Devices, users can further decrease flash and sound without removing or replacing the primary muzzle device, allowing the system to scale with mission requirements.

This MFMD is compatible with 5.56 rifles featuring 1/2x28 muzzle threads and requires 1.3 inches of over-the-barrel clearance, measured from the barrel shoulder to the first obstruction. Rifles lacking this clearance will not be compatible. The device installs via direct thread only and does not require adapters.
