The Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X is a high-powered weapon-mounted light with 1000 lumens and 5000 candela output. It features ambidextrous high/low switches that allow you to customize the light for your shooting style. The weapon light is constructed from durable materials including 6000 series aluminum and impact-resistant glass. It features a dual-fuel design, powered by either a rechargeable Streamlight SL-B9 battery (included) or a CR123A lithium battery. Other features include a secure mounting system, IPX7 waterproof rating, and a safe-off function to prevent accidental activation. Available in a black anodized finish.

Highly capable compact light

Bottom line: they made a solid light that blends size and capability.
When I got the light, I mounted it up on my G19(5) and found that it still fully seated into my Safariland ALS ( made for G19g5 w/ optic and TLR7a) and also my Tenicor IWB holster.
The output on the HL-X is noticeably brighter and gives you a bit more reach with useable light.
The front load battery is always appreciated. I would recommend buying a few extra batteries and having them on hand, especially if you’re a professional user working a shift.
