Improved (mostly)!

I've been carrying the original Wedge for a year or so and it's been a good EDC light. My only real criticism is the side-mounted switch, which doesn't work with gun/light techniques. The Wedge XT solves that with a tail-mounted switch, and that's way better. The XT is also shorter in OAL, which makes for even better pocket carry.
The only downside for the XT is the reduction in lumens, from (low/high) 300/1000 in the original to 50/500 in the XT. I can live with this tradeoff, since 500 lumens is plenty for anything I do with a pocket light. Overall, the Wedge XT is a great piece of kit. The original was relegated to my sling bag and the XT is in my pocket right now. Highly recommended!
