The Strike Industries 7-Position Advanced Receiver Extension offers more adjustment for your carbine stock as well as additional features that make this an easy choice when upgrading from your Mil-Spec buffer tube. This AR-15 buffer tube features a supported buffer retaining tab that makes it easier to index as well as scalloped cuts that decrease friction with tight fitting stocks. Each receiver extension is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and comes in multiple different anodized finishes, so you can customize your AR-15 to look exactly how you want. The SI 7 position advanced receiver extension also allows you to use the Pit Viper stock for an extremely compact and minimalist set up.

Not Impressed.

Not very impressed, and not worth the price. The finish is OK, but time will tell how durable - has a distinct matte spray paint look. The interior of the tube is full of imperfections and will need to be well lubed or possibly even lapped/reamed to work efficiently. When I look at several other more well known manufacturers tubes, i.e. Spikes, Bravo and on, the interior is smooth and in some cases finished with a dry lube in order to work the best possible. They also tend to cost less than this one. The angular shaping on the outside looks cool, but that with one extra position for the stock does not make it worth the money.

Nice tube, seems to be well made and works fine with the Damage spring I started out with. I upgraded to a wire spring and still no problem. I like the extra position the 7th hole provides, and the idea of the ears that support the BCG. Can I tell a difference when I shoot it? No. But I also don't want to stake my castle nut, so I like the way the "ears" catch the buffer retainer pin and stop the buffer tube and stock from rotating if my castle nut is a little loose.
Structurally failed when installing castle nut and end plate

After applying 42ft/lbs of torque on my castle nut, the threads were damaged by the tongue of the end plate and slides into the grove of the buffer tube. The ends were the buffer retainer pin should be have also been damaged in the middle of installation.

This is an awesome part, I use them on every single build. Stronger than standard milspec, 7 points of adjustability for perfect fit, fantastic anodized finish. I’ve used them on the last 5 builds I have completed and everyone has been flawless. Do yourself a favor, if your looking for an awesome, strong and lightweight option with lots of adjustability, you’ve found it.

Not sure about other reviews but I build custom ARs and use these on just about every build. Stronger than milspec, beautiful finish, amazing adjustability, love this part!

Strong, well built. Good anodizing inside and out. I especially like the receiver extension as it supports the BCG earlier and protects the lower receiver threads.

Pretty nice buffer tube fits well with Magpul Mil Spec stocks, my only complaint is that its too long for JP silent capture spring system so I had to drop a spacer in the back to take up the 3/32" of play. A quarter with a few layers of gorilla tape on the back worked nicely.
