Strike Industries Carbine Length Handguard with HeatShield is an easy-to-install upgrade designed to enhance grip. Simply drop in the carbine length handguard on your AR for instant grip improvement and weapon control. The carbine length handguard is made of lightweight injection-molded polymer with a slim undercarriage. Top and bottom hand stops provide multiple gripping options, while the aggressive ridge styling adds dexterity and positive weapon control. M-LOK slots at the 12, 6, 1, and 10 o-lock positions provide space for mounting accessories. This model features a black handguard with a red heat shield.

Does NOT fit free floating barrel nut

I tried installing this on my AR-15 and realized it doesn't fit. After contacting Strike Industries about it, all they had to say was it only fits an upper with a D ring and not a free floating barrel nut. It would've been very nice to see that listed in the description!

Drop in handguard

Overall good product, like the heat shield , not totally drop in for me, had to do some filing to make it fit just right. Other than that worth the money.
