Details
Details
The Strike Industries Enhanced Low Profile AR-15 Gas Block is designed to fit under virtually any handguard, with skeletonized cuts that trim weight without cutting into strength. Built for a .750" gas block journal, this steel gas block uses the set screw attachment method for a secure lockup, whether it's a new build or a running change on an existing rifle.
Features:
- Low profile steel construction
- Black Nitride finish
- Skeletonized design for reduced weight
- .750" gas block journal
- Weight: 1.61 oz
- Length: 1.18", Height: 1.40"
- Includes set screws and roll pin
- Designed to fit under virtually any handguard
- Set screw attachment method
High-temperature, medium-strength thread locking compound is recommended during installation to keep the set screws from working loose under heat and vibration. The black Nitride finish is built to withstand high temperatures near the barrel while resisting corrosion, making this a solid choice whether you're upgrading to an extended free float handguard or simply replacing a worn gas block on an existing build that's due for an upgrade.
Strike Industries designs AR-15 and Glock parts and accessories in a wide range of colors and finishes, giving shooters ways to customize both the function and look of their build.

Rock solid, sleek design
by DC
Did not have any fitment issues as others had stated. I was using a strike industries barrel though, so that may be why.
Looks and works great

Paired it with a strikes industries CHF barrel. No leaks and or fitment issues.
very nice gas block
by Alex -
I really like these gas blocks, they function really nice, look good, install easy and the price is pretty low. I tried one out, liked it so much I bought several more to swap out on some of my other builds.
Nice fit

No problems on a SOLGW barrel. Didn’t have any of the problems with dimensions or scratching that others had. Paired it with a Spike’s melonite tube.
Works!

Works great for me. Maybe they fixed the tolerance issue. I've used this on 2 rifles now with no issues at all
Runs on a 7.5 flawlessly
by Ryan -
Tight fit, but gentle deburring and slid right into place. No issue through about 1500 rds on a 7.5 shorty so far.
Fits fine on a bear creek .308 barrel

Bought a bear creek barrel and this gas block. The gas block fit fine on the barrel. No issues like others suggest.
Questionable Quality Control
by Chris C. -
Buyer beware. Being a fan of the styling and having some good experience with Strike Industries products I chose to use this gas block on my most recent build. I was sorely disappointed with the quality control on this product but I guess you get what you pay for. Upon trying to set is on a new Faxon barrel it was obvious this wasn't going to fit into place and I am not the amateur armorer that force fits. As a check on the barrel dimensions spare Geissele and Seekins gas blocks at 0.75" slid on with ease so it was not the barrel; there was clearly an issue. The Strike Industries gas block ID was approximately ~0.74" in some places by multiple caliper readings measurements and ~0.75" in others definitely not uniform in circumference. Really disappointing after having satisfaction with their other products.
Small inner Dimension

Problematic fit. Hopefully it was just a defect as SI is a great manufacturer. The one I received had an inner dimension of 0.739.
Nice sturdy gas block.

Right off the top I want to say that the clearance on the Midwest Industries Gen 3 rails is supper close. Like 1mm close. That being said it does clear. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it scatched the crap out of the journal during install. Tight is good but debur the dang thing please. Aside from that the quality of the piece is very good. Aesthetically it looks great and the set screw felt snug when tightened. No issues with the gas tube install either. Overall it seems like it will stay where I put.
