The Strike Industries Enhanced Ultimate Dust Cover is the world's first quick disconnect ejection port cover for the AR-15! Manufactured from high-density Nylon polymer, the UDC will never corrode, rust, fade, or deform. It features an internal True Seal lip to better protect your rifle from the elements. A built-in adjustable detent screw allows you to easily compensate for receiver wear, or increase/decrease opening power.
The spring-loaded internal detent rod provides easy installation and take down, often taking just 5-10 seconds! This enhanced version is thinner, allowing greater compatibility with nearly any AR-15 upper receiver, including billet uppers, on the market as well as reducing the weight to a minimal 0.3 oz! The new design also features a cut-out window for easy installation or removal, all without impacting the True-Seal capabilities!

Ive been a gunsmith for far too long and Ive had my fair share of difficult jobs. Difficult as in using a pipe wrench to remove a barrel nut! That being said; I was overwhelmingly suprised at the simplicity, durability and performance of this dust cover. Something as stupid as a dust cover shouldnt affect performance but this thing certainly does. It absolutely keeps dust and dirt OUT. It springs open quickly. The installation is nightmare free. Out of the box and on the gun in seconds. Installation literally is quicker than it takes to open the box. And durability? I was concerned about the ejection port seal and the fact that this thing is polymer but its nice and thick and sturdy. Every AR I build will have one of these from now on. This should be standard.
Perfect fit & function

Easy install. Matches the fde magpul furniture. No trimming or adjustments necessary like I've read on other reviews it fits flush no problems whatsoever. Doesn't say multi cal w/ the bullet around it as shown in the picture though.

Getting the stock dust cover off, difficult. Installing this, Easy Peasy. Just be sure to rotate the spring properly, slide the little button and click, there it is. This is my second one. And as the other reviewer said, this is all I will use.
