Awesome Comp.
by Thomas -
I definately like it on my G19x. Beware that spring and guide rod are challenging to install.
Holy Cow this thing works!
by Garett
Not sure what I was expecting but this thing really works! Unlike comps that attach to the barrel this ran just fine with 115gr range ammo. Gun barely comes off target. It will make your gun louder, may want to use this outdoors.
Amazingly Effective Compensator - Feels like half the recoil and time to get back on target!
by EP -
The Strike Industries Mass Driver is well over a 50% perceived reduction in recoil and muzzle rise. This creates an absolutely noticeable reduction on time to get back on target with a red dot and your next shot. If you are looking for something to decrease split times and tame recoil for new or sensitive shooters, this is the right product! I was amazed after my first magazine at the difference - it felt like shooting a 22 magnum, not a 9mm!
The only issue I see is finding a holster that doesn't hold the mass driver forward when you try and draw. FYI, the Glock 19 gen 5 version is longer than my Glock 34 with the Mass Driver attached and they both feel weighted towards the muzzle about the same when pointing at the target.
I highly recommend this device for target, fun, Open Class divisions, and practice - not for defense or everyday carry as anything you add to your weapon can potentially cause reliability problems or issues when lives are on the line.
Destroyed bluing on my slide
by jacob -
The good. This compensator works really well. Reduces the recoil and muzzle flip. The bad. Not the easiest to install. Have to uninstall it to clean your gun which is a pain. It completely destroyed the bluing on my slide. Not very impressed because of that. Less than 700 rounds put down range and the bluing is destroyed on the slide. Where the compensator comes in contact with the slide. Brand new gun. Not very happy.
A Substantial Improvement at a Reasonable Cost
by SWSurgeon -
My perception is that this compensator is reducing muzzle rise and rearward recoil by somewhere in the neighborhood of 25% to 33%. Transition between targets and acquisition of a new target is noticeably faster.
Although the new guide rod spring is very stiff, once you have that under control, installation is quick and easy. Reverting to stock configuration is likewise fast and simple.
If this device holds up over time, it will deserve five stars.
