The SI Slide Cover Plate for Glock pistols is an aesthetic and functional upgrade. Machined from anodized aircraft grade aluminum, the Slide Cover Plate is significantly more durable than the factory plastic slide plate. Using a push-button design, the plate allows tool-less disassembly of the firing pin and extractor.
NOTE: Not compatible with Glock 42 or 43 or Gen 5 frames.

you will need eye control

I ordered two of these end plates. The Red from Strike Industries and a Blue version from PA. PA was out of the Red when I ordered from SI. The Red plate fits nice and does what it says it will do. One issue, the Red draws your eye to the end plate vs the front sight even with a red fiber optic front sight. Concentration is required to keep the focus beyond the front sight and not subconsciously drawn to the red end plate. Over time, you may get used to it but if not, back to OEM or a black v2 SI plate.
