The Strike Industries Strike Rail AR-15 Handguard delivers a lightweight, feature-rich M-LOK rail for shooters who want airflow and accessory space without unnecessary weight. Built for AR-15 builders who want a clean, functional rail, this free float handguard delivers Picatinny mounting where it counts and open M-LOK space everywhere else.

The Strike Rail places Picatinny rail sections only at the forward and rear positions along the top of the handguard, leaving the center open for weight savings while still providing mounting space for sights and accessories. M-LOK slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions add mounting options for lights, grips, and other gear while improving airflow to help keep the barrel cool during extended firing. A built-in anti-rotation feature and ambidextrous QD sockets round out the mounting hardware, and the rail ships with its aluminum barrel nut and bolt included. This 10" handguard is finished in FDE. Because of the anodizing process used, color may vary slightly from batch to batch.

Sturdy! Beautiful finish.

This piece is rather "showy" without being overkill. Appropriate for a competition gun but not so much for a tactical piece. I was expecting the FDE anodized would appear golden and flashy but it's not too bad. It does in fact have a mild metallic sheen but is not glittery. I like it a lot! But I would not put it on any firearms I would consider to be "tools for the job."
The finish is similar enough to the Geissele "Desert Dirt" colored charging handle that I can't pick out a mismatch.
I would consider this piece to be highly rigid and durable. The gaps in the barrel nut for the gas block are generous and give you a wide margin to align to the gas tube when torquing unlike "AP" brand.
