The Timney Impact AR Trigger is a genuinely solid entry-level option, giving shooters Timney's quality standard at half the cost of the company's premium competition triggers.

Hit and miss

Bought one of the about 4 years ago and it worked perfect. Bought another one for a new build and has reset issues.
Trigger pull is nice. Inconsistent reset.

The trigger pull is very nice, as expected. The reset is a bit inconsistent which is a problem for any kind of fast shooting. Installation was kind of a pain because the set screws are underneath spring legs that get in the way. It’s an upgrade on mil spec, but I ended up preferring pretty much all of the other after market triggers I’ve tried.

This is a solid trigger. I bought it because it was on sale, but I am pleasantly surprised in how nice it is. I guess they fixed the issue with the set screw that the other reviews talked about. The set screws were easily accessible.

Put this trigger in my 16" 5.56 AR, and it is probably one of the best triggers ive purchased! No play, clean break, short reset and overall WORTH the money!
Excellent bang for the buck...

Bought this trigger and a RA Rave PCC trigger at the same time; both were on sale. Both have crisp breaks, but the Rave has a slight amount of creep just prior. Trigger reset is great on both, but the reset on this Timney is almost immediate, which would worry me a bit about firing an inadvertent follow-up shot under stress. Fortunately, the Timney went into a 1-6 LPVO where it isn't tasked with a lot of rapid firing.

Good overall trigger assembly and for the price, it’s great. It’s not perfect, but keep in mind that this an entry-level trigger in the Timney lineup. Pros: Everything that everyone else said. Cons: the trigger (actual trigger, not the trigger assembly) is thin and boxy - it’s about half the width of a mil spec trigger and I almost want to sand down the edges or add a pad. There is grit on the release, it’s minute, but it’s still there. That said, it’s an excellent trigger and you should absolutely buy one. My recommendation is that this trigger is used on competition/precision/range gun. If you are looking to upgrade your patrol, home defense, or zombie armageddon rifle, look for something more robust, like a polished/nickeled mil-spec assembly.

Own a more expensive Timney .308 trigger and this is the second Timney I have bought. Wish they had this when I was building my other platforms. It just doesn't get any better than this for the price!

Installed this in a AR556 Ruger pistol because the stock Ruger trigger was just plain terrible. Super easy to install. Smooth and crisp break fantastic trigger for the price. Ordered on Saturday had it Monday I live in Pennsylvania. Can’t beat Primary Arms!

Great product, nice smooth and crisp. quick reset everything you would expect from Timney at a great price. only one con the way it is installed. If your not comfortable working with very small parts then I would advise you get some anti roll pins. You have to install 2 very small set screws where the holes are partially blocked by the tails of the hammer spring to lock it in place. It can be done just take your time and set up on something that will prevent these tiny suckers getting away from you
