Note: The Impact is not compatible with AR-10, 15-22, or 7.62x39 rifles.

The Timney Impact AR Trigger is a great entry level trigger with all the quality you expect from Timney USA. The Impact AR Trigger is an all-in-one drop in design with all components being machined from billet steel. Specifically, the hammer is wire EDM machined from S7 tool steel for long term wear resistance from repeated impacts while the other internals are machined from A2 steel. The trigger housing is machined from aluminum and hardcoat anodized grey. The curved trigger bow offers a familiar feel to Mil-Spec triggers, but the crisp 3 pound break sets it apart from the competition. Compatible with AR-15 rifles and uses standard .154” trigger/hammer pins. The design of the trigger housing prevents pin walkout. Improve your rifle at half the cost with the Timney Triggers Impact AR Trigger.

Features:
  • Single-stage 3-3.5 lb trigger pull
  • Fits Mil-Spec AR-15 lower receivers with .154” pins
  • Drop-in design
  • Wire-EDM machined hammer from S7 tool steel
  • Lightweight aluminum housing
  • Heat treated to Rc 56-60 hardness
  • Curved trigger shoe
  • Made in the USA.

Awesome trigger

by

Love Timney Triggers but wasn't sure about this entry level trigger. This trigger is awesome!!! It was a 3lb pull with super short reset, crisp break and no take up! I installed this in a Sig MPX 8" pistol and i love it! You will not be disappointed with this trigger!

Amazing value

Butter smooth. Excellent trigger for the price.

perfect low budget drop in ar trigger.

A little tedious to install because of the allen set screws but if you have any experience with ar's you will love the final result.
Put this in a 20" hvy barrel gov profile ar15 delton and couldn't be happier, improved my hits from 3" groups at 100yds to less than 2" without a benchrest and my eyes are not very good, using the a2 sights it came with. Will have it down to 1" with a little more patience. With benchrest it will be a virtual moa rifle.
Crisp clean break with no effort and perfect reset wish I had Timney's on all my toys.
Still, I had it installed and working in 15 minutes.

Best trigger for the price IMO.

Awesome trigger clean and consistent break great audible and tactile reset. No take up. Made by a company that has been in the trigger biz for a long time. Mine didn't fit in an Aero lower. Fit fine in my PSA and Anderson.

Great trigger but a PITA to install

by -

After install, this trigger is as good or better than my Rise and CMMG drop in triggers. It breaks at 3.4 lbs with no perceptible take up. Reset is short and crisp. My only issue is with the install of the 2 Allen lock screws after tightening the 2 set screws. The hammer springs needed to be captured and pulled out of the way to insert the lock screws, which was not an easy task. One other installation issue on my Mossberg MMR involved reinstalling the safety selector. It was necessary to remove the front trigger pin and install the safety selector while canting the trigger up. The instructions say to install the trigger completely prior to reinstalling the safety selector, but there's not enough clearance in my particular lower to perform the installation in that order.

Excellent

Huge improvement over basic mil-spec trigger, install pretty easy. Once in a while you may feel a Just a hair of creep on a very slow squeeze , but most break clean. Reset you can feel, and is short with medium feel. Very Happy w Purchase.

I love the curve of the trigger, kind of hybrid. The only thing I’d change is make the face of the trigger wider, it’s narrow. I put 50 rounds through my gun to test..... worked flawlessly, and my groups improved, especially at a rapid pace.

Nice Trigger

Great product, nice smooth and crisp. quick reset everything you would expect from Timney at a great price. only one con the way it is installed. If your not comfortable working with very small parts then I would advise you get some anti roll pins. You have to install 2 very small set screws where the holes are partially blocked by the tails of the hammer spring to lock it in place. It can be done just take your time and set up on something that will prevent these tiny suckers getting away from you

Excellent

Installed this in a AR556 Ruger pistol because the stock Ruger trigger was just plain terrible. Super easy to install. Smooth and crisp break fantastic trigger for the price. Ordered on Saturday had it Monday I live in Pennsylvania. Can’t beat Primary Arms!

Excellent!

Own a more expensive Timney .308 trigger and this is the second Timney I have bought. Wish they had this when I was building my other platforms. It just doesn't get any better than this for the price!

Good. But…

by

Good overall trigger assembly and for the price, it’s great. It’s not perfect, but keep in mind that this an entry-level trigger in the Timney lineup. Pros: Everything that everyone else said. Cons: the trigger (actual trigger, not the trigger assembly) is thin and boxy - it’s about half the width of a mil spec trigger and I almost want to sand down the edges or add a pad. There is grit on the release, it’s minute, but it’s still there. That said, it’s an excellent trigger and you should absolutely buy one. My recommendation is that this trigger is used on competition/precision/range gun. If you are looking to upgrade your patrol, home defense, or zombie armageddon rifle, look for something more robust, like a polished/nickeled mil-spec assembly.
