The Troy Claymore Muzzle Brake directs muzzle blast and sound forward, away from the shooter, while retaining effective muzzle brake properties. Very low dust signature, without swirling effect. Works as an improvised breaching devise.

So far so good

Haven't fired with it yet, but Troy is a very reputable company so I have no worries there (still held back that last star until firing). It went on easy with no problems and looks great.

Excellent brake!

I'd read a lot about the Troy Claymore, and I wanted to swap out the std. A2 flash hider on an AR pistol as I'd heard the pressure wave off a pistol can be pretty stout.The Troy Claymore installed easily and I really like the look! Haven't taken it to the range yet ... too cold here now, but anticipate excellent performance in channeling muzzle blast forward.

Love it. great value for the money

perfect for an AR pistol or SBR to keep the blast going forward and away from the shooter's ears. haven't shot it at night yet... I'm guessing there's a fireball but couldn't see anything during the day on a 7.5" 5.56 bbl. good price at around $52 I believe.

works well on an AR pistol

Purchased this to replace the standard A2 flash hider on a 7.5 in. AR pistol. Prior to putting the claymore brake on I had to use double hearing protection. The claymore definitely helped, sending much of the blast down range. The sound changed from a "crack" to a "boom". It makes a nice fireball, too, and is definitely not quiet for those around you. But it does its job.

Dont shoot in no smoking areas.

The fire is visible to everyone around the shooter. With just cheap 5.56 my pistol was releasing some serious dragon breath. This redirects some volume, still wear hearing protection though.
