Easy install simple designs fits the Primary Arms Compact Weapon Light with ease.
Bad experience with VTAC Mount
Firstly, as most have mentioned, the FDE is noticeably lighter than Magpul FDE, so if you're a matchy matchy kind of guy, this will not fit the bill. For me, it was only slight, so I didn't care. However, the polymer quality and the fastener design, in my opinion, are not at all satisfactory. I'd heard great things and this is one of the only colored options on the market. I run a .90" diameter light on all of my guns, up to this mount, I've used aluminum or steel mounts. Without over-torquing or abusing the mount I attempted to mount my light. Upon mounting the light the material around the screws began to crack and tear. While I'm sure this mount works great on more common and popular "tacticool light options" the fit was garbage at either very loose or much too tight with the adapter. I wouldn't trust this mount to hold up to much abuse. I broke it installing it, not while running the gun. Unacceptable.
Very Nice Attachement when using a Light

Have to say this is my third flashlight mount. The other two were adequate, but just in the wrong position, or was too cheaply made. Whereas, the VTAC mount is durable, light weight and can be placed on your handguard rail in any spot for an optimal position for your light to go. I will definitely buy another one for my next AR build. And highly recommend this item to any serious AR builder.
Took Primary Arms for granted
I originaly ordered The mount and rail from a different business out of California (should have known better). They were happy to take my money but not so much when it came to shipping me the items or answering the phone. I then Ordered from Primary Arms, the pacage arrived in 2 days. I love you guys! O ya the mount is a great bargin. The insert that allows the use of smaller lights is a great feature for my situation.
Sturdy and affordable

Matches my VTAC Alpha rail. Mounts solid with relatively low profile. Made of polymer so we will see how it holds up after some abuse. I expect it will be fine.

really tight fight. the FDE color is a bit different than others, but product looks good and gives lots of mounting configurations. it's very tight.

Troy VTAC Light Mount - Flat Dark Earth
by Greg Mallory
The mount serves the purpose for a low cost mount but I'm not impressed with the flex of the mounting arrangement. This mount has soured me on polymer mounts. Frankly I expected more from Troy.
Great mount for the money!
The VTAC light mount is very simple in design and well thought out. I like the fact they use "T" nuts to secure the mount. For the money, I don't think it can be beat.Primary Arms is great at shipping quickly and prices are good.
Lightweight and slim profile
by Charles Morton
These mounts are simply GREAT! They are super lightweight and have a slim profile that keeps your mounted light close to the rail. The color choices make it a great option for attaching to a variety of custom builds to match weapon furniture and custom color schemes. If you do not get any of the Inforce WML tactical lights that come with an integrated mount, get this for use on any 1" tube conventional tactical light. They are excellent!
Nice mount for mounting to railed handguards or similar points, wouldn't recommend mounting to a gas block or areas of high heat due to plastic construction. Works well mounted on my 9 o'clock rail postion.
Bargain for the money! Very adaptable to many barrel (Flashlight) diameters. Solid mount!
got it years ago and it has held up well.
i have had this mounted on a colt 6920 with a MOE fore end and a MOE vertical grip.
I have it set with a Surefire polymer light (even though they say they are not rated for it) so that i can push the tail cap with my thumb.
it holds up well. Its a great product for the money.
