Made of cheap unreliable material.

The block deformed after a few hits on the Front sight pins. The pin holes didn't line up either.
FSB pin holes don't line up

I bought this bench block for one purpose and one purpose only - to drive out the FSB pins on an LMT carbine upper. With this in mind, the bench block failed miserably. The front pin hole barely matches. The aft pin hole was completely off the mark. I had to drill out the aft hole to make it bigger and then take the Dremel to cut a relief channel for the pin to fall through. How hard was it to build a product to spec?

NOT A VISE BLOCK

Understand what you are purchasing. This is a bench block; very useful for holding stripped uppers and lowers while you install all the small pins and screws building it. This is NOT for securing a built upper or lower into a vise for modifications or disassembly.
If you make a hobby or business of building ARs from stripped receivers and parts kits, this will be helpful in holding the receivers in the awkward positions it takes to build them, freeing both of your hands for use, and keeping your bench or table from damage from the receiver.
This will not hold your lower in a vise while you tighten/loosen a castle nut. This will not hold your upper in a vise while you tighten/loosen a barrel nut.
It is NOT a vise block.

Works good, wish there was a area for lo-pro gas blocks. Mainly bought for installing the forward assist, trigger guard, and magazine release. So far so go.
