Wilson Combat - 1911 40 S&W - Standard Base Pad - 9 Round is designed to be the most reliable magazine for your handgun. Unlike traditional magazines this Wilson Combat magazine features a thick wall and is made from heat-treated stainless steel which resists corrosion. The base plate is removable to make it easier to clean. This 1911 magazine also features a positive slide-lock, so the chamber will open when the magazine is empty. While factory magazine springs can wear out, this one is built with a spring that is heavy duty so that it lasts longer, and feeds rounds easily.

NOTE: For use with .357 SIG 1911's the magazine's inner rear spacer must be flush or slightly taller than the bottom of the U-shaped tube cut at the top of the tube.  This will ensure that the bottleneck .357 rounds do not nose-down feed from rim drag on the spacer.  To adjust the spacer, remove your baseplate and spring/follower assembly and tap the bottom of the inner spacer with a punch towards the u-cutout at the top of the magazine until it is flush.
