WMD Guns NiB-X Nickel Boron Buffer Tube

It is a quality part. Used this to differentiate between my different caliber AR's

Put ut on my new build because i wanted to look a little fancy. The slop on it was too much for me. I tried every stock and brace i had and everyone rattled fsr too much for my liking. Ice looking just didnt work for me

Fits well and cycles smooth. Some minor tooling marks were visible under the coating but still functions well.

This buffer tube is nice and uses the end plate to lock it into place. It is a rough finish but looks good with my silver upper assembly and my but stock moves freely without the scrubbing or wobbling it had with other buffer tubes. As with other reviews I have seen, If you want a shiny NiB look you will need to polish it yourself but for this price I can live with the way it looks as I received it. Polishing the inside will be a pain and may need to be done for it to have that smoother feel with recoil. I would recommend using a SS spring. I give it a 4 star rating because I with the company at lest finished the inside of the tube. Other then that, this is a nice and smooth operating part.

This buffer tube needs some work out of the box to get the most benefit from it. The NIB coating is very raw. The coating process leaves a residue which must be polished off in order to get the really slick surface that NIB brings to the table. WMD does this on their BCGs but not this tube. It took me about 2 hours of polishing to get the NIB surface really slick plus 5 bucks in polishing compound. Once this is done there is a noticeable difference in the action. It smooths it out a good bit and results in a improved cycling feel. This in addition to other measures can give you decreased felt recoil. I like this product but these is no reason to ship it out unfinished and leave it up to the buyer complete the finish

Just received mine in mail today and must say I'm very dissatisfied coating looks good but there's tool Mark's all over the tube and Nick's and gouges under the coating not a nice product at all
