Missing a couple of springs

by

Buyer beware my Anderson lower parts kit was missing two spings. I was lucky I had extra in my parts box.

Decent parts, really tight trigger.

by -

I have bought some lower end lower parts kits and I expected this one to be a cut above those lower end parts kits but was disappointed to find that it was of less quality than the low end parts kit from Palmetto State Armory. The trigger is definitely the worst part, it sticks back sometimes and doesn't have a very smooth pull. The safety is tight and difficult to switch. It is a good value if you get it on sale other wise I wouldn't recommend it.

Good parts, fair price

by

Its a good price for a mil spec parts kit. No problem installing parts.

Two springs missing, what a bummer

by -

Ordered two of these parts kits. Just got them today and while building one of my lowers I noticed the kit was missing the disconnector spring and magazine catch spring. All parts come separated in small colored bags. I usually don't bother with those types of kits for obvious reasons, but didn't know what i was getting until I opened the box. Other kit I ordered had everything included. Trigger group looks and feels a little cheesy, but should work. Will probably replace trigger group down the road anyway. The missing springs is a bigger issue.

Acceptable LPK for an Exceptional price

by

I have bought perhaps a dozen of these Anderson kits from PA over the years. It is a good kit. I do miss the old stainless colored trigger assemblies which were superior in my opinion. I have had one kit missing a bolt catch spring and none with out of spec parts. If you are looking for an acceptable LPK for an exceptional price, look no further. All kits went into either Anderson lowers or generic Cerro Forge lowers. I have noted the tight safety selectors...a bit of CLP and some repeated manipulation for a minute or two....they break in and am satisfied.

Out of spec, low quality parts.

Purchased two kits. Takedown and pivot pins from both kits had inconsistent finishes, some gloss black, others a yellowish attempt at phosphate. Both safety selectors were undersized for the receiver hole and poorly made, missing half the textured lines normally found on these switches. Did not want to pay the shipping to return, so I contacted Anderson. To their credit, they sent me two new sets of pins and two new selectors. The replacement parts were very high quality. Quite a bit of effort to get a complete acceptable lpk.

Anderson LP kit, SMH.

The bolt catch roll pin that came with my LP kit was about 3/16" longer than it should be. I had to be creative with the Dremel tool to get it down to the proper length.

Bad Trigger Reset

by

First time building an AR so I watched several videos and reviews and gave this lower parts kit a try. Everything in the fit nicely and worked fine except for the trigger reset. I have to manually push the trigger Forward to get it to fully reset. I watched another video specifically regarding this problem and apparently it is very common even with the stainless steel trigger and hammer kit I purchased. I have ordered a polished trigger from Palametto to resolve the issue. I do not blame Primary Arms just Andserson for poor quality control.

Sweet LPK, GREAT PRICE!!

by

I have used around 10 of these kits, and had NO missing parts, NO parts or finishes out of spec....Buy with confidence. Something tells me either PA or Anderson would make any issues right should a problem arise!

A little disappointing...

by -

I have Anderson lowers on both my builds, one that is a couple years old and one on a newer build, I must say, they are good quality and hold up well. I bought this parts kit for a build I was finishing for my father, I was very disappointed when the disconnector, rear takedown pin, and detent were missing. The trigger is a bit tight, but with some work, I'm sure it will work in. The triggers' springs sat oddly for my liking as well, but they secured in place and no sign of problems.

Back to the missing components, even though it wasn't on PA they didn't come in the kit, I emailed them and they immediately shipped out the parts I required. Good on them, and this is why PA will continue to get my business for the foreseeable future.

I smell a .308 build coming on...
