Why spend more elsewhere ??

by -

I've built multiple AR's with these lower receivers and all have been flawless, no problems at all with assembly, and all work perfectly. Having tried lower receivers from 7 or 8 other manufacturers, I see no reason to spend $$ more on a fancy logo. Buy the Anderson, spend the extra money on range time and ammo.

The BEST BANG for the buck!

by -

Unless you are going 'fancy' with a logo, or custom billet lower, these work as good as any, and haven't let me down through thousands of rounds. They have worked with a multitude of different brand lower kits, triggers, uppers, magazines and other aftermarket parts. The only reason for not buying more right now, is deciding which caliber to build next, which dictates how much I will spend on the rest of the build, and... well... my wife... LOL!

Quality lowers at a great price!

by -

Quality lowers at a great price! I've done about six builds with Anderson lowers and always satisfied with the product. Primary Arms is a great company to work with, also. Fast shipping and great customer service!

Great price

by -

I have two of these that I have used in builds and I have had no problems. 5 stars!

Terrible First Experience

by -

This is the first stripped lower I have purchased/built from Anderson. Unfortunately the first piece I tried to install wouldn't fit, (magazine releases.) I would've liked to definitely return the product, but I drilled out the button side for it to fit in at all. I'm extremely disappointed, this now looks and feels like a cheap build. I don't think I will buy this brand again, also hate that Primary Arms would sell this product. This was my first purchase/experience from this company, I don't know if I will purchase anything from here again.

From PA: We're very sorry that you had a defective lower. We've sold tons of these and problems with them are very rare. Please reach out to us when you have a problem and we'll be happy to take care of you.

Great lowers, can't beat the price

by

Great lowers. Never had a problem with any build. They sometimes fit tighter than the high dollar lowers I have. Now Dpms lower parts kits I've had problems with. Twice I've had out of spec selector switch's that would not fit. These lowers are great if you can deal with the my pony logo go buy one.

Alwasys good start

by

I have built over a dozen of ARs using the Anderson lowers, with Anderson and various other parts-standard, long range, & pistols. To date I have never had any problem with the Anderson parts.

Can't beat the price.

by

I bought one of these last year, to start my first ar build. Slowly through out the year, I bought pieces for it. I finally finished my build the other day with a new upper. I couldn't for the life of me, get the upper to close enough to get the takedown pin pushed in. After an hour or so of cursing myself out for buying a cheap lower, stupid me discovers that I had the buffed tube screwed in 1 turn to many. I simply backed it out 1 turn and it closes like it's meant to now. Besides the logo on the side, I can't see a bit of difference between this, and my stag lowers. I will definitely be using these lowers for anymore mil-spec builds I do.

No Problems

by

Used for Grendel build. Lapping tool proved face was true to bore in about 1 minute. Found exactly .001" clearance on barrel to receiver, so easy shimming with heat gun for tight fit. CMMG, Odin Works, Seekins, Geisele & Stoner parts all fit with no issues. Would definitely buy again.

A Mixed Bag

by -

Just got my lower transferred tonight, started to build it and ran in to immediate problems. The mag release button would not for the life of it, fit into its respective hole. After testing the button on my Stag lower which has some of the tightest tolerances I've ever seen, the button fit immediately which makes me think it was the Anderson lower and not my DPMS parts kit.

I ended up having to belt sand the mag release button down a bit to get it to fit, which obviously ruined the finish on the release button and looks pretty bad. Now I have to hunt at my local shops for a button I can test on the spot to see if it fits because this silver button is irking me something fierce.

The trigger guard, bolt release, and mag release were absolute nightmares to seat the pins but after that, everything went perfectly and with minimal fuss.

I am not sure if I would buy this lower again after the frustration I experienced but the finish and fit into my upper were perfect.

Value Pony

by

I've had one for 5 years, with first a 20" then a 16" upper (Bushmaster and PSA, respectively). This lower has had thousand of round through it and been in a few action rifle competitions without any issues. No problems with GI mags, PMAGs or Hexmags.

Can't bet it

by

It was flawless as I expected I will never again buy a lower from anyone else.

Awesome!

by -

Bought 4 of these now and have been very impressed, and not only for the price. Anodizing is uniform on 3, one has a tiny pin hole underneath where the pistol grip goes, but overall great. Built 3, one still sitting in the safe, and had no issues with any. Fit perfect with my aero uppers, no play, normal amount of light pass through. Would 100% recommend for any build from entry level to mid/high end

A great lower at a great price!

by -

Picked up one of these milspec Anderson lowers for a dedicated AR22 build and found it to be a great deal, with great fit and finish. I read several bad reviews so the first things I checked before building it were upper fit and standard mag fit, both passed with flying colors. Great deal on a well made and well finished product.
The only thing that made this product better was how fast and professionally Primary Arms shipped it out; my FFL had it 3 days after I ordered it. Well done Anderson and Primary Arms!

great for the money

by -

I got three... two seemed to go together nicely and one appeared to have problems after assembly... could get the upper to fit onto the lower. After closer inspection, the buffer tub was extended to far and needed to be machined {filed} back to give proper clearance.

Great quality

by -

Picked up 2 Anderson lowers while on sale for my first AR build and I’m quite impressed. No blemishes (which I wouldn’t care) and very durable aluminum. Primary Arms made my in store pick up quick and easy. Was in the store for 10 minutes. I would recommend Anderson Arms and Primary Arms to everyone now. And the customer service was excellent!

A SUPER Price For Lowers

by

AR lowers are meant to do 2 things, 3 if you count holding a buttstock.
1. They hold the fire control group. If that area works as it should why pay for names or rolled logos?
2. They are made to hold a magazine and to release it when the button is pushed. if it, the AR lower receiver does all of these things as they are supposed to do then paying more is simply a waste of money.
Bottom line is this, buy ammunition and learn to make the second and 3rd and further rounds go into the same hole.
The AR lower just holds the above. better triggers, better barrels and lastly sights open irons or scopes are what makes the shooter better.
Buy these by the truckload if you can.
One day they become extinct if certain groups get their way

build an AR

by -

Bought two Anderson lower receivers (sequential s#), installed parts kit other than Anderson, perfect fit. Used Anderson upper (installed BCA barrel in it) and other than Anderson built upper (PSA), both fit perfectly. Function, fit, and feed, no problems. Used several different brands of magazines and have not had any problem loading, feed, or drop. I would recommend Anderson products to any one wanting build an AR.

Absolutely perfect

by

Bought two, on sale, separate households. Easy build. Perfect with two PSA rifle kits. Absolutely perfect. Everything fit without incident. My first lower build. Thanks YouTube. Absolutely fun.

Blem

by -

Did not purchase a blem, but received a pretty bad blem. Bad finish and a good size hole in the metal on the outside of the mag well. But customer service as always was right there to help. Spend the little extra money on a spikes or an aero

top quality for little money

by -

built six ar 15 from anderson lowers and uppers never had a bit of trouble from them very good quality used some other brands back in the day [military time 30 +years ago] not so good a lot of fit work so save some money buy anderson from primary arms [the best ] quit complaining and build a top quality rifle

They work for me

by -

I bought 3 of these last year when there was a pretty good sale. Looking back, I should've bought 5 because that was the limit. So far I have used 2 in building an AR pistol and mid-length 16" rifle.

I'm not an expert by any means, these were my first builds but everything lined up properly. For me, I decided that spending money on components such as a trigger was worth more to me than spending more on a "high end" receiver. Having read online about Anderson receivers potentially having issues with magazines, that was the first thing I checked. It lined up properly as did all the other pins and buffer tube. Very pleasant for my first build, I must say.

I haven't had any issues and as if they go on sale again like last year, I will definitely pick a few more up. I waited months to build mine. It was a combination of learning through videos online and having the time to do it.

Why pay more?

by -

Say what you will about "poverty pony" lowers, but they work. I see no point in spending extra money for a different roll mark. I've used these lowers in several builds and they've always worked just fine.

Nice Anderson lower

by -

Really nice lower it matches up with my upper very well. Wish I bought 2

Great lower for the price.

by -

I bought these on sale, assembled the first and fit and finish was perfect.
Tried it with a couple different uppers and fit better than lowers that cost twice as much.
Will buy again if I ever need another.
