Note: Trigger pull weights are approximate and may vary between rifles

Assembling an AR-15 for the most part is pretty simple; however, some aspects of the process can be frustrating such as installing the takedown detent and spring or trying to put the trigger together. CMC Triggers saw a need to improve on the AR15 trigger installation process and introduced their line of completely self-contained trigger groups. Each trigger is encased in 8620 alloy steel to protect the internal components from dirt and debris, carbon buildup, or anything else that might get into the lower receiver and can be installed in seconds. Just drop it in, install the Mil-Spec trigger pins and you are ready to go. They have a huge selection of triggers that are built for specific applications and preferences. This model is designed for 3-gun competition where a light, single stage trigger is optimum for quick close quarters shooting while still being smooth and crisp for precise long-range shots. Install this match grade trigger and see why many competition shooters are choosing CMC as their go-to fire control group.

With roots in aerospace manufacturing, CMC is perhaps best known as the producer of the original drop-in precision trigger for the AR-15/10 platform. CMC Triggers are dedicated to crafting the finest parts and accessories for law enforcement, military, and civilian use.

Sticky trigger disconnector

by -

Trigger disconnector sticks on the hammer. Have to press the trigger forward to let the hammer fall to the trigger sear. Hopping to fix this myself as CMC requires the return of the trigger to them before they will do anything, and I don't want to be without a rifle.

No Regrets

The CMC Triggers are very good triggers, I have many. Very good functioning system at a good price. Don't let the "No Stars" rating change your mind.

Excellent trigger

Excellent trigger; works very well; significant improvement in accuracy. Prefer it to my considerably more expensive Geissele SSA-E trigger.

Almost zero movement.

by

I have two of these triggers and, in my not so humble opinion, they're some of the best out there. Surprisingly, the description on the website's advertisement is accurate. The take-up is almost non-existent, and there is no over-travel. It takes a very steady hand, and an extremely slow trigger pull to notice any movement at all, frankly. When training, or shooting a 3-gun stage, you won't notice any trigger movement at all...

Great trigger

Love this trigger. Just completed and functioned a build with this trigger (Ruger lower, Aero upper, BCA 20in 1:8 SS barrel). One hole accuracy at 50 yards (didn't go out further due to weather and time constraints) with SSA 77g ammo. Trigger was a big part of this. Great feel. Reminds me of my Russian biathlon 22. Highly recommended.

Bought it and will buy more as soon as they go on sale

Fantastic trigger. Very crisp, very consistent, very easy to install, and I bought it on sale from primary arms so I got a terrific deal. Installed in an aero precision m5 .308 lower.

Great Price Point with High Quality.

Buy far one of my favorite triggers and got it on sale for another amazing deal from Primary Arms. Originally put it in an AR-10 and got consistent result with it. Now it is in a precision AR-15, 24 inch heavy barrel. Love it.

Another Good Trigger.

I didn't have one of these CMC 2.5 lb. triggers with the curved bow, so when Primary Arms put them on sale the other day, I ordered one of these and also another one of the #90503 trigger that has the straight bow. Both icredibly smooth predictable triggers.

Ok

I just put this trigger in the rifle and may need to break in some. The break is nice and clean and crisp, no take up. The reset is what I find to be lacking. It is very gritty and long. I have a Davidson defense drop in 3.0 pound trigger that has a much better reset than this trigger and is far cheaper. I am hoping that after some time the gritty reset resolves itself.

Excellent Trigger at a Very Reasonable Price

by

To improve my AR-15 I first bought a 3.5 lb. Timney trigger and was impressed by the reduced pull and creep compared to the original, mil spec trigger......but after a while, the pull and creep became bothersome, so I took a chance on this 2.5 lb. CMC trigger. Upon arrival, I was initially disappointed by its appearance, using sheet metal instead of machined billet aluminum, and by the inability to eliminate some movement due to the lack of set screws to lock it in place. I used a couple layers of black electrical tape on the bottom to take up slack, installed it with the pin-retaining side screws, and headed to the range. What an improvement !! Zero creep, noticeably reduced trigger pull (measured at about 2.75 lbs.) and improved accuracy. I strongly recommend this trigger to anyone who wants excellent performance at a very reasonable price......and who doesn't ?
