Great barrel after a little work

by

got to the range I could only fire 1 out of 20 rounds due to new production Tula Ammo having the primer set back farther than in the past. I put in a Black Rifle arms extended firing pin and that solved that problem. I went back to range but ended up with a stuck case. The Chamber on the Diamondback Barrel was very rough leaving scrapes on the cases. I used a Glock bore brush with flitz polishing compound on it and went In and out of the chamber like a madman. I reapplied flitz a few more times and kept at it. After 10 minutes the chamber was shiny and the cases fell out when the barrel was tipped. Cleaned everything thoroughly and lubed bcg. Went back to the range for a third time and shot 60 rounds with 2 double feeds. I put in a Black Rifle arms enhanced extractor and went back for a fourth time and shot 50 rounds without a single failure. Barrel shot a 1/2-3/4" group at 50 yards.
I'm happy to report that the barrel is dimpled

I have purchased these before and was quite pleased. However, this one has a blemish in the finish a few inches in front of the gas port.

Thank you for taking the time to speak with us today and we are glad we could get this resolved for you.

A great barrel

by -

I purchased this barrel because it has a .308 groove diameter. This allows me to easily reload utilizing bullets I already use. No need to purchase .310 to .312 slugs. Oh, it shoot very well too.

Bad Barrel

by -

Primary arms needs to pull this picture off the website, the profile I received in February 2023 is a government profile and a carbine length gas system. The barrel is advertised as mid length. The barrel was dimpled but the rifling looks terrible and the rifling is missing from about the last 3 inches of the barrel. I wouldn’t feel safe shooting this barrel. Now I have to go through the hassle of shipping the barrel back. Don’t waste your money and time on this barrel.

Note. We see that we were able to get you taken care of on this issue. Please let us know if there is anything else we may assist you with.

May Not Be Mid Length

by -

The barrel I received on 2/10/2023 was not mid length. It has a carbine length gas system. I’m OK with that because I had a carbine length gas tube. However, it would have been nice to have one different than the one I had. This is my second 7.62x39 Diamondback barrel. I’m happy with the first one. Hoping this one will be the same. Fairly light weight (not heavy profile) and pretty accurate for this cheap 7.62x39 ammo.

Solid barrel for price, factory dimpled

by

Cant complain so far, bought on sale and was surprised that it came with one factory dimple.

Actual .311 Bore. Good to Go

by

Debated between this barrel and a BCA. Ended up going with the Diamondback because it was on sale. Finish is good. Chamber and extension are good. Mates well with my Faxon bolt. Bore was visibly rough. I broke the barrel in with 20 rounds of Tula cleaning between each shot. Bore appears much smoother now. Nice side note, this is a true .311 barrel unlike some of the cheaper options that use .308. With the carbine gas, standard carrier and block, and an H2 buffer… Tula ejects about 4 o clock. Slightly under gassed. Very nice. Good buy. Would do it again.

7.62x39 16" Barrel/Diamondback

As usual Primary had a great deal on this barrel.
Built a 7.62x39 upper, bought all trouble solution upper parts and the end result was a very reliable, accurate new rifle. This is why Primary Arms is my preferred store for AR Parts and Accessories! Thanks again!

Great Deal

Purchased this barrel during the big sale. I wanted a cheap barrel because I was going to paint it along with the parts of the build. Everything came out great and the barrel is shooting about .6 MOA. Things couldn’t have been better!!
