F-1 is super

Truly the finest set on the market. Easy to install the parts and a real clean look

I have to say I was disappointed with the FDR15 set. The forging marks where not cleaned up. The front take down pin was jammed. The upper tension screw stripped when I attempted to adjust it, the anodizing on the threads caused the set screw to seize. The bolt catch was drilled too far away to contact the mag follower properly. My Strike Ind. bolt catch would not engage the mag follower and the mil-spec. catch engaged but not reliably using milspec. and Pmags. The mag well flair was ground off to one side. I had to send the set back to Tim at F-1 for the seized tension screw, the seized front T.D. pin and the bolt catch Issue. I have used many other much cheaper receiver sets that had a better fit and finish. The set was repaired not replaced, bolt catch still doesn't contact the follower to my liking but functions, I am concerned with time the small contact patch will eat into the follower. Customer service was good however I would rather have gotten my money back or compensated.
Might have chosen another set

Was looking for a set for my next build. I ended up ordering 2 different sets. The come in hard plastic cases for each one, Then in examining them they had some slight scratches/wear where they installed the takedown pins. Not sure who put them together if it was F! or Primary Arms. Which I don't really mind. They will end up getting a lot of abuse. What I was not a fan of the take down pins they installed. On both sets I was unable to take the pins out by hand. Had to use a punch and a hammer to get them lose. A lot more force to get them lose then I expected. I guess the positive part is the fitment is tight.
