Hogue AK-47/74 Standard OverMolded Furniture Kit - Chinese / Russian Stamped AKs

It took about an hour to carefully remove the old parts from my 30 year old Norinco/Clayco AKS without damaging them; it took about 10 minutes to install the new Hogue parts. The lower hand guard metal tabs at the front needed to be ground down ~1/16"; other than that, GTG. A nice kit, no problems noted turning and burning at the range the following day. A+

The products are great, the service was great but unfortunately the upper handguard does not work with my Mak 90. I sent a email to pa but never heard back. No biggie things are crazy right now I understand. But basically I paid this price for the the grip. Because now that I am gonna have to go with a ultimak the hogue bottom looks ridiculous IMO. But I'm guessing its just a singular experiance.

These houge grips have a good feel, the front hand guard stays cool. Even after 100+ rds.The pistol grip also has a soft rubber feel to it, there is space to store stuff in the bottom. Houge sends shorter screw to replace the longer factory one. My only complaint is that not all models come with a base plate to cover the empty space in the pistol grip. Houge only includes the base plate if the grip is sold without the hand guard...Primary arms sent me an order confirmation instantly and a tracking number when my order was shipped.

This comes as a do it yourself set-up but you do have to have some AK knowledge beforehand or you will mess something up. I did not have prior AK knowledge but my gunsmith did so we finally got the right pieces put where they belong. I needed the top rail for a Red Dot sight system and the side rail for a flashlight. The overmolded rubber parts are way more comfortable than stock, so I appreciate that change. I put this on an AK pistol with a 10" bbl.
I would buy this again. It is a good value and if you know what you're doing it installs pretty easily. LOL.
