Great mags except ...

I started buying Lancer mags several years ago after seeing the difference between them and PMags. I got one of these because I just built a 300blk pistol and wanted to make sure I didn't run 300blk in a 556 ... wouldn't be pretty. I haven't run any ammo through it yet and Lancer quality is there but the mag won't drop freely in any 556 milspec lower I have. After looking closer, I noticed these mags are about 1/16 inch wider than the standard 556 Lancer mag which is why they fit snugger. Not a real big deal but really irritating when swapping mags when you have to pull on the mag instead of it dropping freely. I don't know what other changes they made and probably won't until I run some ammo through it but for now, I'm dropping a star.

Quit reading reviews and BUY IT!

I purchased one of the 20 round options to test the quality of Lancer’s product since I had never used them before... Needless to say, I’m ordering 5 more. The design and function are elegantly flawless. Snug fit and not a single feed or loading problem... yet
