The Magpul ASAP QD is an AR-15 end plate compatible with all Mil-Spec AR-15 lowers, featuring an ambidextrous QD sling attachment point. This sling attachment point provides a wide range of motion, providing shooters with true ambidextrous weapon manipulation, as well as excellent retention and control. This end plate is easy to install, and is constructed in the United States from rugged steel with a corrosion-resistant QPQ salt bath nitride finish. The ASAP QD ambidextrous sling attachment point end plate is compatible with both mil-spec and commercial carbine receiver extensions.

NOTE: The ASAP is not compatible with A1/A2 fixed stocks. When the Castle Nut is properly torqued, staking is not required. However, if staking is desired, it is strongly recommended that it be done by a certified armorer or competent gunsmith. The extremely hard surface of the ASAP QD increases the difficulty of staking and the likelihood of damage during the procedure.

Nice but brittle

Nice deep black finish. Fit was good. Cracked when I knocked it a couple of times with acenter punch to stake the castle nut. Not my first staking job and I'm no brute. Maybe the metal material is different than the mil spec end plates I used in the past.

Good, but may interfere with stock collapsing

Standard Magpul quality, which is great! However, when I attached a sling with a QD mount, the (standard-sized) QD button itself is too thick to allow my CTR stock to collapse all the way. Not Magpul's fault (maybe), but seems like a weird oversight to not even mention in the product details.

Yes it does work with the AP M4E1

Works fine. MagPul quality. Another review says it will not work on the Aero Precision M4E1. I have the M4E1 and the MagPul QD D-ring swivel locks in without any problems. It can't swivel 360 but that's just because of the buffer tube. It locks in completely and holds the entire weight of the AR.

Functional and rugged but rougher than I was expecting. The endplate has a deep black finish that is similar in texture to a cast iron cornbread pan. The right side (visible in the product image) has a spot where the casting sprue is removed with a grinder wheel before plating. The one I purchased has a rough edge there and I will return it. All steel construction is a plus.
Not COMPATIBLE with Aero Precision M4E1 Enhanced Lowers

Works well with standard milspec lower receivers but it is NOT COMPATIBLE with AeroPrecision M4E1 lowers. The end plate does fit nicely but the enhanced lower receiver has different dimensions that does not allow the qd to fully insert and sit flush to allow the detents to engage.
