A Magpul Fanboi And Disappointed

I appreciate Magpul's innovation, engineering, quality and value. That's why this cover comes as a shock. Installed on an AeroPrecision (fanboi) upper, it is totally unsuitable. The cover's bottom edge drags on the Aero upper - blocking the port. Other uppers may be different, but I build with Aero.
Fitment issues with Aero slick side uppers

Something about the Aero Precision slick side uppers prevents the dust cover from opening and closing freely. I spoke with Magpul about this and they've heard reports of it too. I have not tried with a standard Aero upper or any other brand of upper, so it might just be these particular uppers. Otherwise it feels well made, is easy to install, and saves around a half ounce over the traditional dust cover for those ARs on a diet plan.
