The Magpul Type 2 M-LOK Rail Covers are low-profile, two-piece panels designed to enhance grip and comfort on aluminum M-LOK handguards. Each cover fits a single M-LOK slot and features a non-directional design, allowing for flexible installation based on user preference.
These rail covers add minimal bulk—only slightly more than 1/8" of protrusion—while improving grip through Magpul's TSP texture. The beveled edges help reduce snagging on gear or clothing, making them suitable for a wide range of rifle setups.
Note: These covers are only compatible with aluminum M-LOK handguards. They will not fit polymer M-LOK furniture (such as MOE M-LOK, MOE SL, or SGA forends) and may not seat properly on flat-profile free-float handguards.

Each panel includes a pre-scored center locking tab, which can be snapped off to mix and match colors for a custom look.

Excellent upgrade for hand guards

I started using only enough for my hand towards the receiver (4 on each side and 2 on the bottom) and I liked them so much I covered all unused slots. It really changes the look of the rifle, I don't know if "executive" is the right word, but it makes the rifle look fancy. They're super secure, I don't ever worry about them coming undone, I've removed them and it takes a specific action that I don't see happening on accident. Cons? Maybe they MIGHT be a tad aggressive on the texturing, but that's a nit pick.
Overall: RECOMMEND!

Overpriced for what they are

Aesthetically pleasing, aggressively textured, and simple to install. The negative of this product is the absurd pricing. which comes up to $2.05 for each individual rail cover. I understand the costs of designing such a thing from scratch, but I'd be happy to get these in simpler packaging if it brought the per-unit cost to something reasonable. This is a criticism I have of Magpul overall. Much of what the customer is paying for is packaging. I'd rather save the $ and buy more rail covers.
