The Magpul STR (Storage/Type Restricted) Stock is a drop-in replacement buttstock for AR-15/M4 carbines using Mil-Spec receiver extensions. The STR features an improved cheek weld and a compact, reinforced polymer A-frame design. Two water resistant battery tubes each store (2) CR123A lithium or (2) AA batteries. A shielded operation lever and friction locking system prevent accidental operation and minimize excessive stock movement for enhanced weapon stability and accuracy. The STR incorporates two sling loops, a reversible push-button QD sling mount, and a replaceable 0.30" thick rubber butt-pad which provides positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage even with body armor or modular gear.

NOTE: Friction lock performance may vary depending on the host receiver extension dimensional tolerances.

Impressed so far.

For starters...Primary Arms wasted no time shipping the stock to me. The stock obviously has some weight to it...exactly what I wanted (doesn't have that airsoft/toy feeling). The improved stock padding allows a comfortable cheek weld. Best part is when this stock locks...it doesn't move. Very nice product from Magpul.

Nice upgrade

Magpul STR Black Rifle Stock Perfection ~

After using the STR version on my BCM Gunfighter I liked it allot so I changed out the CTR stock that was Foliage Gray on my M&P 15 with a Black STR. It just looks and functions better for me. I also use the 0.70 Enhanced Rubber Butt-Pad on both rifles so switching from one rifle to the other is the same consistent feel ergonomically. The Perfect set up for me
