Details

The Magpul STR (Storage/Type Restricted) Stock is a drop-in replacement buttstock for AR-15/M4 carbines using Mil-Spec receiver extensions. The STR features an improved cheek weld and a compact, reinforced polymer A-frame design. Two water resistant battery tubes each store (2) CR123A lithium or (2) AA batteries. A shielded operation lever and friction locking system prevent accidental operation and minimize excessive stock movement for enhanced weapon stability and accuracy. The STR incorporates two sling loops, a reversible push-button QD sling mount, and a replaceable 0.30" thick rubber butt-pad which provides positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage even with body armor or modular gear.

NOTE: Friction lock performance may vary depending on the host receiver extension dimensional tolerances.

I love all the magpul products. This buttstock is a little heavier than the ctr but very sturdy and balances my ar10 better.

Nice stock

I ordered this because I like having extra battery storage. Got it faster than I expected. A few guys at work thought the stock alone was a little heavy, but in the grand scheme of things with all the add-On's to the rifle (sights, optics, rail systems, ect.), the extra weight of this stock (once mounted) was not noticeable. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and would buy from PA again.

It's a little heavier than my CTR stock but I think it's worth it. The larger cheek wells are comfortable and the storage is great for batteries for my optics.

Loving this new stock! I liked the CTR, but wanted more cheek weld area.. STR has that, plus storage for my CR123 batteries!
