Primary Arms 3X LER Red Dot Magnifier - Gen IV

I purchased this magnifier to use in conjunction with the gen 1 cyclops from Primary Arms. My vision is not what it used to be and even tuning the diopter ring would not let me see the chevron sharply. So I got this magnifier and it changed the optic completely for me! I can see the chevron nice and clear now and even the range estimation marks are easier to use. I am very happy with my purchase and at a great price compared to other options available in the market.

No need to spend more $$$ when you can get this at a fraction of what others are charging. This is coming from a guy with ols ass eyes.

Excellent eye relief and lines up well with my Romeo 5 on a utg mount. My use case is to zero my rifles.

It took several months to get this magnifier, but I really like it. I have it paired with the Primary Arms SLx Rotary Knob 25mm Microdot with ACSS-CQB Red Dot Reticle on a 9mm AR pistol. The eye relief is perfect. The magnification is spot on. Solid feeling and works great.

Paired this magnifier with a Sig Sauer Romeo 5XDR red dot. The magnifier sits a little higher that the sight itself (the objectives don’t line up height-wise). But you can’t tell looking thru it. Adjust the red dot so it’s in the middle of the magnifier and forget about it. I’m more than likely going to order another one for my pistol build.

Visually, it's clear but short eye relief.
Structurally, it's sturdy and bulky with the flip-to-side mount.
Value-wise, I would prefer to rely on PA than Amazon brands as I find it affordable yet reliable and fits my needs.

This is an Excellent magnifier. Glass is very clear and it provides sharp image with no distortion. Ample eye relief so you don’t have to choke up on your rifle. Cheek weld on stock remains the same whether magnifier is used or just the red dot. And the cost is also a plus!

I’ve only played with a few buddies magnifiers on their weapons but they all had awful eye relief. This kept me from trying one for a long time. I saw this PA LER and gave it a shot. It blows the others outta the water, and many costing way more than this one. I liked how I could pick my own Mount. I went with the GG&G Mount and love it also. Perfect combo with my holosun 512.

As advertised. Paired with Eotech EXPS 3 on Sig MCX. Few twists of the knobs and locked in. No adjustment to cheek weld once moving Eotech 2 notches farther down the rail.

Have been swimming with it for hours - no more than 5' submerged - no issues.

The flip to side mount is stiff AF upon receipt. Cycle it a few hundred times, and the detent becomes second nature and nearly imperceptible - completely fades into muscle memory.

Couldn't be happier.

When this PA 3x LER is compared side by side to the top tier brands of 3x magnifiers, there is little to no meaningful difference. It is difficult to get away with that in other types of optics, LPVOs being an example, however a magnifier is a relatively simple unit. The specs speak for themselves. This PA 3x LER has comparable weight, eyebox/exit pupil, light transmission and in some cases better eye relief than magnifiers that cost 4-5 times as much. In my experience, this one has been just as durable and image quality is not any worse or better. If you want European/American made glass, get it, but do it knowing theres not much practical advantage in the category of 3x magnifiers.
