Primary Arms Flip To Side Magnifier Mount - Standard Height
NOTE:This mount places the center of the magnifier 1.64 inches above the top of the 1913 Picatinny rail. The magnifier will NOT line up with raised base optics such as the 7mm extended base EOTechs!

A big miss....
Let me start by saying I am a huge PA fan and they are my first go to store.
<br>I have bought two of these mounts for the PA Gen IV magnifier. One from Amazon and one from Optics Planet. Let's start by saying the mount in the photo is not what you get. The biggest discrepancy is the magnifier mount only has 4 screws instead of the six pictured. The biggest fault of both I have bought is they do not center the magnifier over the rail. It is obviously not on center and would drive folks like me that need everything straight and level nuts. Even though I can adjust the view of the magnifier so the red dot is centered in the magnifier, the magnifier itself is off center of my Eotech. If it being off center doesn't bother you this is the way to go. The unit is solid and doesn't flop around in either position. I did have to repair the second one I got because the pin that locks it into position was almost all the way out on one side. A few taps of a brass hammer fixed that. From PA:

Hard to beat this for the price. It's not extremely heavy but it is solid. There is no wobble or anything when mounted on properly. Two things I noticed though...when mounted it's not completely centered on my micro dot. It looks about an 1/8th of an inch off. This doesn't seem to affect the sight picture, but I can't say for sure since I haven't used it while completely centered. The second thing is when it's set up to flip to the left, there is about an inch between my micro dot and the PA3XLER-AD magnifier. The hinge is so large that the QD lever on my Midwest Industries T1 mount can not properly close. I guess you could argue that the MI QD lever is too long as well.
Good quality flip to side mount for a decent price

Bought this mount for use with a PA extended eye relief 3x magnifier, and that is sitting behind a Vortex Strikefire in an Aero Precision 30mm ultralight cantilever mount. The Aero mount is an absolute cowitness mount, and this flip to side mount does sit a little higher than the red dot, but with the elevation adjustment, I was easily able to center the dot in the magnifier. It is well-built, there is no play in the hinge. I did oil the hinge pin with some 3-in-1 oil to make it easier to use, and that helped. Best technique I've found is, since I have almost an inch of room between my red dot and the magnifier, place the palm of my support hand on the front of the magnifier, press back, flip, release. This works well both directions. If you didn't have as much room between the red dot and the magnifier, the need to pull back on the magnifier to get the mount to release could prove troublesome. I'm happy with it for the price I paid.
Not an absolute cowitness mount.

If you pair this with a Sig Romeo 5, it is not a cowitness. There will be an offset. The mount itself is of decent quality but aligns high 1/8th~1/4" above my red dot. (PA 3x magnifier.)

This is a very nice mount for the money, you can get better, but you will pay a lot more.

very solid feel and breaks over to side easily.
To make a long story short, everything good I want to say about this flip mount has already been said many times by all the other reviews. It's solidly built and if you're in the market for a flip mount and this will fit your optic, I'd highly recommend this PA Flip to Side mount.
The mount has way to much play in joint. I wish I wouldn't have went cheap and tried it.
What can I say...it's a mount. Well, it is a mount that is very well constructed. I prefer it over the deluxe model that has a QD thing, but who really needs that for a magnifier that has a flip-to-side feature? The flip-to-side feature is perfect. It is stiff for running around but when you need to really use it, it turns over like a new car's engine.
Awesome product, great Price

This is a great mount, aligns well with my Aimpoint Pro. flipping the magnifier out of your way is a simple push (enough where it wont flop out of your way accidentally) while bringing it back behind the optic requires a light pull backwards and then flip over. engagement is positive (no rattling in either location). I purchased this with the 3x LER magnifier and have been extremely satisfied with the combination
Great w/the long eye relief magnifer.
Works perfectly, locks up great. Using with the long eye relief x3.
Primary Arms flip to side mount

Your mount works great and came with a nice price tag. It is very comparable to the higher price name brand ones.

couldn't be happier. Goes great with my primary arms red dot. I will be a returning customer.
Primary Arms FTS Magnifier Mount
Very solid, great functioning mount. Enough room to fit over Magpul BUIS. Would recommend to a friend.
Primary Arms Flip To Side Magnifier Mount, Standar
Use this on a AR15 flatop w/Ecotech, magnifier lines up perfectly with the Ecotech, solid build, I shoot left handed and had mount so it flips to the left side of the rifle.

great magnifier great price
great magnifier great price
This is my first experience with a flip to side mount and very happy with it. The spring tension is a little high but it is so sturdy I am not worried about being too forceful when pulling back on the mount to flip it to the side.
Very pleased with the construction, stability, and function of this mount. The warranty is also a plus. Would buy again!
Tried many mounts, I recommend this one for most..

This mount is a great balance of cost and quality. I haven't found a single flip to side mount at this price that is anywhere near this quality. There are better mounts (depending on your needs) but they are at least double the price.. and I would feel safe saying they are not double the quality. On this mount there were a few nicks and scratches from assembly so if you are all about looks this one may not arrive perfect, but it does function better than the competition in this price range, no question. Highly recommended.
Awesome FTS mount for the price!

Very Good Magnifier Mount
by Yogi Bear
Using this with a 2X Hensoldt Wetzlar anti tank gun magnifier on a S&W M&P15A. The mount is tall enough to clear the rear BUS. The barrel on the magnifier is a non standard diameter so I did have to use a spacer which I also got from Primary Arms to kluge a fit. I just needed one half of a spacer to get the magnifier tight inside the mount. The quality of the mount is excellent. It is a bit tight to flip the mount to the side but I like that because when it's in position it's solid. Very satisfied with this purchase.
very sturdy. mounts with ease and no slop. flip to side locking mechanism is tight and didnt get loose during recoil.
