Worth its weight in gold

I am nothing short of amazed by the quality and features of this optic. I have tried many and this one is really hard to beat. The strength of the mount, the clarity of the glass, the extremely useful retical, the low profile turrets... I could go on and on. This thing is pretty much perfect... even if you have astigmatism like I do. I liked it so much, I ordered the 3x shortly after.

Love this optic!!!

I love this optic. It looks amazing on my AR and easy to install. I'm very happy with my purchase and will definitely recommend to other. Ps make sure you buy the anti reflection device for this optic.

Super pleased with purchase.

Yes it cures my astigmatism.
Yes it works and is super clear with a magnifier. Vmx3t.

blows away the competition

I simply can't say enough good things about this optic. Super clear glass. Great eye relief. Crisp reticle with or without illumination. Excellent form factor and construction. Wish I could buy them in bulk at a discount.

So close to being perfect.

This thing absolutely slaps. I sold a much more expensive setup after trying this 1x microprism. It’s the 1X LED ACOG that we all wanted and great value pricing. Has all the features that you’d want and none you don’t. The glass quality could be better (when is the GLX 1x microprism coming out PA?), but is far from bad. I’d also like to see 1/2 MOA adjustments instead of the 1 MOA. Overall, this thing lunches way above its weight class and I can’t help to recommend it to new and experienced shooters alike.

These are great for Astigmatism and great optics, mounting specs are sketch

by

I love these optics for my old eyes and while not as good as a red dot stand-off they are perfectly fine to acquire a target in short order and crystal clear. I like the red illuminated reticle but the green is really good whereas I like red dots better than green dots. However, Primary Arms needs to issue a notice to all its customers to not follow the torque specs, which are way too high as listed in the enclosed manual, and give new specs; otherwise, they need to have higher strength fasteners included. I torqued to under spec and the cross bolts broke on two of my mounts.

Returned it

Ignore the NTOA recommendation. I worked patrol and SWAT for years and this optic would NOT work in a dynamic situation. The knob which controls red dot is very difficult to turn. In a stressful situation where you lose fine motor skills, I'd say nearly impossible to turn the knob on. You can't leave the optic on, as it will kill the batteries. This means it cannot be on a patrol rifle, or used for home defense. Fun at the range, no problem. The glass was decent. The ACSS reticle was so small and impossible to see for ranging. the Lastly be warned the mount for lower 1/3 cants back towards the user, it's weird. I did not find any aftermarket mounts. I sent this back.

Excellent, minor gripes

by

Overall very happy with it. The 2 things that standout as negatives are the 1MOA as everyone else has said, and the other is at least on mine, the brightness adjustment knob does not line up well with the adjustment line on the side of the body. The brightness levels are pretty much in between the numbers instead of on the numbers.

1st optic, excellent.

by

Was very skeptical out of the box, but mounted to 5.56, dialed it in for my eye and boom. This is an excellent optic with etched reticle. Yes illumination dial needs sole work, but all in all you can't go wrong with this scope on a rifle.

Excellent value, but more like 0.7X

Great optic! Clarity is excellent, easily pick up targets and transition from one to the next. Tons of mounting options included. I think they could actually cut back on these and make the price even more attractive. One of the best optics at any price I've used. My ONLY grip is that this is not a 1X view. It's more like 0.7x. Up close this isn't a huge deal, but for any targets at medium to long distance it makes a huge difference. it actually makes it very difficult to acquire targets with both eyes open because the difference in sight picture between your non-optic eye and the Microprism eye are so different. Make it a full 1X and it would be perfect.
