After rigorous field testing, this optic has been given a silver-tier rating by the National Tactical Officers Association.

This Primary Arms MicroPrism is part of the SLx optics line. SLx optics have built a reputation for innovation, reliability, and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment.

The SLx 3x MicroPrism is an all-new advanced optical system that combines the compact, lightweight size of a microdot with the durability and precision of a 3x magnified optic. The SLx 3x MicroPrism offers 13 illumination settings with AutoLive® motion-sensing on/off technology and multiple night vision compatibility options.

Weighing under 8oz, the SLx 3x MicroPrism is smaller and lighter than many red dot sights and features crystal-clear glass with 3x magnification for improved precision at distance. Even in close-quarters, the optic’s wide field-of-view and forgiving eye relief make it easy to snap on target.

Because the SLx 3x MicroPrism uses an etched reticle with adjustable diopter, the user will always have a clear, crisp reticle image, even if they have severe astigmatism. When set to max illumination, the MicroPrism reticle is fully daylight bright. For low-light, this optic offers 3 different NV-compatible settings, accommodating any ambient light level. Paired with the AutoLive® motion-sensing illumination technology, this optic provides an exceptionally long runtime at any brightness setting.

This package also includes the new ruggedized mounting system with industry standard mini-prism footprint, guaranteeing reliability and zero retention through heavy use and adverse conditions. Out of the box, this mount can be set for 8 different mounting heights and configurations, ensuring compatibility with any rifle system.

Excellent!

My favorite optic and reticle! This optic makes it so easy to hit targets its like cheating. Excellent features for the price. It is on my "go to" Aero build rifle. I am already wanting to pick up another one in 7.62x39.

Great compact scope

I finally got out to the range to try out the 3X SLX Microprism scope with the ACSS reticle. The scope is wedded to a ' What Would Stoner Do,' light weight 5.56 set up. The reticle, once focused, is crisp and easy to use and I was able to shoot a couple of 1 MOA groups at 100yds. It is daylight bright but I prefer the unlit etched black reticle.

The only complaint I had is the focus ring was really tightened to the point I have to use a small web wrench to loosen the ring to get the scope to focus. Would I buy it again- I have two more on order.

Nice set up for an AR style weapon

Slick small and light weight. Not great past a hundred yards. Sighted in today using a 300 blackout with 10” upper. I will be using this for deer hunting in timber were a short barrel rifle works best.

Great Optic

by -

Received this about a week ago. Within a few days I had to get some time behind it. It is a great optic. The glass is clear, the reticle is exactly what I was after, the daylight bright works, seems very solid.

The reasons for a 4 star are as follows: The light intensity know is a little mushy. It works well and has defined levels but I cant really call them clicks. Almost feels like a roller if that makes sense. The second, and probably biggest reason for 4 stars, reason is the mount. Now the options, how it mounts, how solid the mount is, and the quality are great. The thing it is missing is it should be QD and the reason is because you habe to set it up over your rear sight to get the proper eye relief with comfortable head placement. For the money maybe this shouldn't have been expected as I think it is a great deal overall.

Interesting. Great value for money.

For $350 and 8oz this thing is nuts. On a lightweight build, nothing is going to be as capable for the weight-- plus the convenience of not having a magnifier. There's a case to size up to the PA 5x for a better image, considerably more range, and a place to mount a dot up top. For me, this is perfectly good for my potential use cases.

Nearly perfect

by

There is so much that I like about this optic. It has replaced an Eotech and magnifier on my duty patrol rifle. It's a significant weight savings over the Eotech alone. It's eye relief is much longer than an Trijicon ACOG (my old Marine Corps optic that I hated) and much more forgiving. I took it out to 500 and was able to consistently engage a 1/2 IPSC sized plate. The BDC is dead on for my 14.5" with 55 grain ammo. My only suggestion would be a cross or stadia line that is place 34 MOA below the tip of the chevron for close in zero/offset. It would be damn near the perfect duty optic with that. I'm hesitant to give it a full five star at the moment, I would need a good six months of it bouncing around in a patrol car and retaining zero. Would like to get my whole department outfitted with these.

Better than an ACOG for a third the price.

by

I used the ACOG on both deployments and loved everything about it except the eye relief. This thing has better eye relief, feels just as rugged, and is much lighter and smaller for a third of the price. The ACSS raptor reticle is also a huge upgrade over the ACOG for CQB situations. Absolutely love my purchase and it was well worth the wait. If you're a fan of the ACOG then I guarantee you will not be disappointed with this purchase.

Love it

by

Perfect addition to my AR-308 to shed some weight.
The 3X is a perfect amount of magnification for my short range hunting needs

Eye relief is quite short

by

Pros: lightweight, compact, great glass, huge FOV, feels solid and well-made

Cons: the eye relief and eyebox is very tight. I understand that to have FOV, you have to give up eye relief. However this scope’s eye relief makes it difficult to work on AK mounts. I purchased the Midwest Industries Mini ACOG mount with this scope. It turns out I will need to find a new mounting solution. If you’re mounting it to an AK, you’ll meed the eyepiece about where the takedown button is located. That’s how close your eye needs to be.

My favorite optic

by -

I was a little worried the retical marking may be too small but it is very easy to see and use. I liked the variation in mounting options so I could get the height and fore and aft just right. Got an AK to get an optic for and this is going on it as well.
